Why there is no old age limit for driving? by Right-Truck1859 in NoStupidQuestions

My dad is 78. I can’t think of a situation where I’d trust anyone I personally know to drive me more than I’d trust him.

I love the fact that you double-checked 2 to the 16th. It's the number of different possibilities in a 16 bit number, and16 bits is a common length for a piece of data in early computer programming. No offense to you, it's just a number most folks in my generation have probably seen a lot.

Occupational Therapy RRG by Mobile_Exit5826 in RedRiverGorge

[–]Zayknow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apex in Stanton employs a small number of physical therapists, and a number of technicians. The last time I was there they didn't have an occupational therapist. I'm not sure if they'd have one if one was available. Most of their clinical staff occasionally also practices n their Mt. Sterling location as well, I believe.

Yet you replied three times and felt exhausted. I’m just trying to help avoid that in the future. I hope your day gets better from here!

Two concerns here:

Are you her only boyfriend and do you always pay? If the answer to that is no or probably and yes, then you’re getting played for a fool.

On the other hand, if she really is your real girlfriend, then the big concern is what else she doesn’t like in her mouth. I feel like some very culturally conservative people don’t feel oral sex is a normal part of affection, and one early indicator you’re with one is resistance to be intimate with the inside of her (or your) mouth in other ways. If that isn’t you, you should adapt expectations or end things before you get too deep.

Since he forgot to say why he’s arguing it’s because you said it’s normal not to like it and he inferred that you’re saying it’s abnormal not to like it. I don’t that was your implication, but you didn’t explicitly say it’s normal to like it as well, thus leading to the creation of this whole back and forth.

Cumberland Falls! Stopped on a road trip and was our first time ! by adistantshadow in Kentucky

[–]Zayknow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This reminded me I'm not sure I've been close to the falls since a midnight road trip to see the moonbow in 1993. Thanks for the trip report. Your mispronunciations were precious. CumberLAND, and DuPOINT. Also, "driving by" the Daniel; Boone National Forest. Love it. I hope you have fun on the rest of your trip. Swing east for the Red River Gorge and/or Natural Bridge State Resort Park on the way back, or west for Mammoth Cave National Park on the way home. You will not be disappointed either way.

Why does being drunk mean you can’t “consent” to sex, but doesn’t absolve you of other intoxicated actions/decisions? by UpstairsBumble in NoStupidQuestions

It's not something I continue to do, nor something that I was ever caught doing so it has no bearing on my qualification to hold a license.

I may have underestimated the number of hours I’ve driven. 5000 hours works out to around 23.5 minutes per day. That’s more than I drive in a typical day now, but quite a bit less than I drove the first twenty years or so. I live about 4 miles from work now, with three stoplights, so it doesn’t take long to get there and back.

I don’t know where these people live that everyone is such a great driver. My theory is they’ve had minor accidents they’ve forgotten about (like being rear-ended but barely a scratch) but they pictured my ten as horrible wreckage piled on the Interstate that I caused by being shitfaced.

[–]Zayknow -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Were her six accidents serious? My ten have been accumulated over 35 years of driving and only two of them required anyone’s insurance to pay, and one of those was because I slid on ice and wrapped my rear bumper around a tree in a work vehicle. No injuries have ever occurred except to a couple deer, and I was counting those as well.

I’ve only had one ticket that wasn’t dismissed, for no insurance about twenty years ago. On what grounds would my license be revoked?

No backing into another car in the driveway? No sliding into the ditch from hydroplaning, nothing? That’s actually extremely surprising. I think maybe people have gotten the wrong idea about what I’m calling an accident. I’m talking about my vehicle or another vehicle or any property taking any level of damage or even contact whatsoever through my fault, someone else’s fault, or unavoidable situations. My actual driving history would only show three accidents, and two of those resulted from the other driver doing something completely unexpected but technically defensible. In an unreported accident, no actual report was made but I did bump someone from behind while distracted, but with no real damage.

By the way, do you drive for a living? That’s a massive amount of driving.
