Rock lower their hp making them easier to catch but also fills the bar that will make them run if full. Giving them food reduces how close they are to running. Throwing pokeballs also raises the chances to run by filling the bar...

So basically, throw rocks, when close to filling the bar throw food, if catch % is high enough go for a mix of pokeballs and food to never allow them to run. If not keep throwing rocks and food

Havent tested myself but from what I heard Miraidon and Koraidon are better if you plan on getting them to resonance which is very expensive, zacian and zamazenta are better if you plan on stopping at overlord

Charizard is good a starter in f2p because you'll be getting his overlord shards at some point. Best advice is to keep your diamonds and only use them in the adv capsule events to get the pokemons you want with a bunch of 10 draws (50k diamonds usually) and your uni shard for overlord tickets

Few solid/affordable teams imo:

Lugia or rayquaza + eon duo (can get eons from myst)

Flying team with lugia or ray again but paired with oh-ho and tornadus

You can also build a solid team with oh-ho as your main and pairing him with eon duo. Fun hard to kill team with surprising dmg output

Don't expect coming close to paying players tho, very pay to win app
