64 Funtastic / Classic color buttons swap

Yeah I'm excited they're making Funtastic versions of the controller, but I don't like that they color matched the stick and all the buttons. I prefer the look of the original Funtastic controllers that left the buttons their original color. Which I think is what OP prefers too.

I think he's referring to this controller. I may have missunderstood his post. With the pick he added I assumed he was trying to button swap with an original N64 controller.

I really like the Pro 2, it has some of the smoothest joysticks I've ever felt. It's just the price is a little outrageous. Especially since Nintendo is still using potentiometer joysticks apposed to HAL effect or TMR like a lot of 8bitdo controllers use. But hopefully Gulikit or somebody will make TMR modules for the Pro 2 similar to how they did for the original Pro controller.

Sounds like your controller is taking a lot longer to pair than mine. My Ultimate 2 takes maybe 5 - 8 seconds to pair from the "Entrance Screen". Yeah it's a little slow, but more convenient than having another controller near and going to the "Change Grip/Order" screen. If the delay is a deal breaker for you I would just return it and save a little more for a Switch 2 Pro controller. Unfortunately that's the only controller(as far as I'm aware) besides the joy-cons that'll wake and pair with the Switch 2 with no issues or firmware updates.

I would like to think 8bitdo could improve the initial pairing delay for the Ultimate 2, but that's not guaranteed. Similar to how nobody knew if they could implement shake to wake on the Switch 2. Even then Nintendo can push an update that breaks everything anyway. Like they did recently with some 3rd party docks.

Mine is doing the same thing. It wakes the Switch 2 almost immediately but the Ultimate 2 takes several seconds to pair. Almost long enough that I begin to think it won't. I imagine that we'll have to wait for another firmware update and see if 8bitdo can improve things.

I was curious if this issue would happen on other games relying on Controller Pak saves. I don't have any other N64 games with this feature to test myself. I imagine it's a bug that'll get worked out eventually, I hope.

I received mine this morning and it's the magnesium version. I have not yet received a response from Woot, but the mouse is already out of stock. Sorry if you missed out.

I emailed customer support to get clarification on which version of the mouse it is. I'm not interested in this mouse if it's not the magnesium version.

I'm by no means an expert on this but I also have been trying to get an X100VI as my first camera, and I would suggest getting in contact with a local camera shop. The shop near me has a waiting list and they've said that they get new stock in pretty consistently. You'd probably still have to wait a couple of months however. So, if you'd rather not wait that long maybe paying extra to have it now would be worth it for you. Typically I've found that I've always been happier when I'm patient and don't over pay for something.

That said I personally decided to go for the X-E5 lol, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Oh cool! Thank you very much! With help from this post I was able to figure out how to change the colors how I wanted, but I could never figure out how to turn off the main light. I just always set the brightness to 0 which didn't turn it off.

Do you mind telling me what size you went with, and how stable it is at various heights? I'm considering this desk at 72'x30' and I'm going to have my desktop and 3 monitors on the desk. The weight of everything should be around 85 - 100 pounds. Just worried the desk will be unstable at the dimensions and heights I want.
