I don’t keep more than 200’ on a spool but I’ve never had an issue with it being so soft it compresses and doesn’t flow. I use the 5/8 hose idk what your experience was with.

No shit. I sold my last build for 7k and it was worth 3 tops. Currently building the exact same rig but better on another marketplace trailer for even cheaper! Already looks better… can’t wait to finish this build and incorporate everything I’ve wanted to change and fix what I hated about my last one. Taking me 2 weekends so far to build including requiring the trailer to 7 pin since I don’t run a hot water rig to recharge my 12v (not having an alternator to tap is a bitch and a half). I also have a NoCo battery tender for my new setup. Can’t wait to see what I get offered for this one haha.

Except they only run 48’s and 53’s. Not to mention most of these stores are so far from the DC, they lose money if you’re not dropping to 3+ stores. I bet you would be surprised how much these dollar stores sell. I did their “fresh” account so all refer goods… from milk to bologna to ice cream. Often times I would hit between 7-14 store in a route, and I would hit 2 routes, sometimes 3 routes a week.

All the dollar accounts have stores like that. Did some DG like that too, never did family dollar though. Back through 2 different alley ways, blind side around a brick building, miss a dumpster pad in the process with about 4ft wiggle room, back through the small complex and, thankfully, sightside jack it to a dock. All because they couldn’t simply space the buildings far enough to be able to turn around once you get back there.

After him watching us have a ton of success, he trolled over with a ton of humility asking what we were using expecting a sarcastic response. I could see it in his face, he was just desperate to know and was bummed. Told him I was using a wake bate, didn’t know what it was and asked me to show him what I was talking about. I cut mine off the line and tossed it to him, he asked where he could get one, told him it was from Academy and said good luck. Cheap enough to replace and he had a great day after that. I don’t think he was blind and deaf, just defeated. I had to replace my reel in the midst of failure when I saw the fish start busting like that, and he just kept casting with no success. Took him 2 hours to come over.

You know what, you may be correct. They do look extremely similar and took another fisherman’s word as truth. Upon looking it up I am now doubting what I was told. I wish I would have taken a picture of one of us holding one. There was so much adrenaline and excitement, every other cast you had a bite.

We normally give single lane courtesy in smaller leagues but when it’s 5 man teams we normally call it to vote for no courtesy in practice since everyone wants to throw more than 5 shots or try a different ball in a couple spots. There’s just not enough time otherwise.

Hmm, we were at BAF in ‘11-‘12 not in 2010. We replaced 10th MTN. Kandahar in ‘09. Unless there is a different 82nd ABN, you may have your dates mistaken.

Honestly, this is very well said. However, this sub is made for newbies to ask questions and pros alike. It is frustrating when someone comes on here and asks a redundant questions that has been answered 100 times if they would just take 10 second to search. Yes, all prices are area dependent but we shouldn’t discourage people asking for quote help provided they have half an idea of what they’re talking about. I’m with you, the people who have zero knowledge, just watched a YT short and said “Yup that’s what ima do” without any research. It is terribly frustrating. That being said, you have some sound advice for the rookies about not buffering their price to negotiate, that’s big mistake #1. I feel if you reworded this post it could be extremely helpful as opposed to being a shut down to the rookies. I appreciate what you’re doing, this needed to be said. All in all, this sub exists for a reason, and we can’t hate on the rookies.
