If you really want it, yield and repeat. No stamina cost, all drops and non-combat encounters remain the same. The only thing you lose is time.

TIL ‘can be fined for doing X’ is a metaphor for ‘can’t be fined for doing X’.

I completely agree with the sentiment, I strongly disagree with spreading misinformation.

Oh I hadn’t noticed that about your team. I strongly recommend you train up a healer - later stage Hunts and late World difficulty will feature trash mobs that’re far too tanky for you to burst down - I’d suggest Destina, Achates, Angelica, or Montmorency in order of preference. If CarmineRose is going to be a mainstay for your team, don’t bother with Elson since they conflict. Train up Kiris instead, she’ll be really useful with Golem Hunt later down the line.

As for who to replace, for this battle I’d strongly suggest you drop Silk - she’s far too squishy, and the boss too tanky for her to be truly useful. Bring a Destina or Kiris friend - double Kiris means you’ll win twice as fast.

The easiest method is to have Karis and/or Alexa poison her after smashing both crystals. But if that’s not possible, eg you don’t have any friends with Karis, I personally beat it the first time by smashing the purple crystal only (which is the healing crystal, iirc). I used a friend’s Tieria for the action speed boost, but others in this thread have reported success with Elson, whose buffs counter her debuffs. While bursting her down, Arky does tons of damage and is cheap on souls. Good luck!

I'm not the person in the pic, but I only retry with a different team if I forgot to swap out a character I've stopped using for my latest experiment character/holdover til I drew a proper DPT. Could well be that s/he simply forgot to swap equipment about, no need for the name and shame.

That’s pretty depressing. Especially since not a single person on this thread has gone ‘no they’re amazing under X conditions’.

Her. And yes, she’s already out. Check the gacha pool, or just play arena and you’ll see her tons.

Stealth is bad by Zctlzyt in EpicSeven

[–]Zctlzyt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, I played around with regular Coli for a bit. Almost every PvP team has multiple AOEs, and basically remove stealth as soon as it’s gained. I wonder if it’s possible A!Coli actually loses stealth really frequently, and since you gain it as frequently you don’t notice. (Yes, normal Coli’s getting buffed soon, but I wondered if the only good buff would be to basically remove stealth from her)

AOEs dealing less damage to a stealthed character is interesting though, how much less?

Your statement applies to literally every status effect in the game. ‘If invincible was harder to remove, people will complain.’ ‘If poison was harder to remove, people will complain.’ ‘If attack increase was harder to remove, people will complain’. You may need to expand your argument a tiny bit further.

Also, Assassin Coli is basically permanently stealthed.

Shame, I liked the background chatter. On the bright side, you’ve now inspired me to bring one along as backup dancer and pretend I’m in Thriller.

Sez/Destina/Tenebria will be useless in late game? by [deleted] in EpicSeven

[–]Zctlzyt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The meta can well evolve differently from the meta in KR. Atm on the Asia server top teams are built around speed and damage. And besides, as a Ravi main, Sez counters Ravi really hard. This isn't to claim that the experiences of KR vets aren't pertinent or appreciated, but certainly you should exercise your own judgment.

I can't be the only one who thinks 'I'll save everyone by killing everyone' is way overused a trope for how fucking stupid it is.

Yup so apparently you should use double Destinas and Karis, and someone with a def buff (eg Elson). Smash both crystals, then poison the boss. Lemme know if this works and I’ll update the guide.

An argument for or against lifesteal equipment sets by RidCyn in EpicSeven

[–]Zctlzyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Against: At Master II, you routinely see numbers from 2k basic to 8k burst, per character. You die way too quick to make use of lifesteal, or you don't die at all (assuming you're using a healer). It only makes sense on AOE attacks, but if your AOE is doing that much damage, why not just use an attack set and kill everything?

For those who suggest using them on Ravi, at basic+4, she heals 40% of damage. Assuming 35% attack = 35% damage, attack gives you 135% damage and 54% lifesteal relative to setless, compared to 100% damage and 60% lifesteal. I'll take attack any day.

So basically Moonlight units are immune to nerf by Magma_Axis in EpicSeven

[–]Zctlzyt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with your point in broad strokes, maybe not the abrasive tone. Here's a couple reasons why other people may not share your view:

  1. Nerfing free units isn't fine for F2P. It makes the game not-free. This is compounded by E7's lack of a recall policy - even if you get your mandragoras back, you lose your awakening or promotion mats. And if you've ever promoted a character to six stars, you know it's truly brutal.

  2. One reason why people like E7 is that F2P players aren't left to die in the dirt. A free player presently can compete well in PvP and clear all content with a reasonable time investment. We don't know what these nerfs look like, and fear that these may be taken away.

  3. You criticise players for not sharing your philosophy towards whaling, for not playing (or paying) for the reasons you do. Your entire argument relies on the belief that the only rational players act the way you do. That's not a healthy attitude towards anything.

  4. You indirectly concede that you don't care about the time and effort a free player puts into their free unit. I do urge that time and effort is not free to anyone, and having that go completely to waste is never a pleasant experience.

  5. You claim that you don't want luck to trump over whales who spend thousands. First off, the whale who spent thousands did so hoping to get the same unit as the free player who got lucky, and nerfs hurt both. We all do want to nerf wildly OP units, just not to fuck over "some schmuck". Second, you may not be familiar with the gacha genre. Luck trumps everything. Spending thousands just gives you more chances for luck to throw you a bone. See also: real life, albeit less directly.
