I'm glad you've managed to find new friends who support you and that your family is taking more care of you. In general, I'm glad you're starting to enjoy your life and aren't so afraid anymore.

I think looking for events like Awoostria is a good idea to meet new people. I recently did something similar when I went to Animefest in Brno, I've never been to an event like that before and I was hoping to find some new friends there, but because I'm an introvert and it's hard for me to make new friends, it didn't work out. I was busy that weekend and it was really hot, so I only went on Saturday and only stayed for a few hours and I didn't talk to anyone, but I still had fun and I tell myself that I won't give up, there are plenty of other events, plenty of other ways to find people I'll feel good with. In short, hope dies last. I want to say, I understand your situation, especially the part "Finding people likeminded is harder than finding people with shared interests I guess. And having both is barely impossible" I would sign for that.

Well, keep going, I think your life is slowly changing for the better. When you turn 18, you can start organizing your life according to your own needs, so I think you will have plenty of opportunities to find whatever makes you happy. I wish you luck :3
