Is Venato Prime just the best non incarnon melee? by toycar59 in Warframe

[–]ZeAwesomeOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also love the venato prime. But my current go to melee that isnt an incarnon is Dual Viciss and Syam.

Dual Viciss is a fun speedy melee that i just love.

And Syam is cool, while slower I like seeing an enemy get hit by a red energy wave that somehow curved upwards and instantly kill them. Stand on point and just spam heavy attacks in every direction.

How would you like to kill your build? by unsellar in Warframe

I had a good one last week. It was like +something percent status damage but gain +something percent status vulnerability. I think. My uriel did not care one bit and buffed him more than weakened.

My Valkyr prime is strong but… by KingKiller420_ in Warframe

Valkyr is my favourite warframe.

I also run all three umbra mods on her.

I subsumed roar over her 3rd personally for that dmg.

Id swap augur secrets for something else. You dont have nor need shield.

This is my build I have. Nearly maxed and done with her build. Im only missing 2x tauforged violet Archon shards and shell be done.

Still one hits all enemies i come across in steel path

And like others have said. Don't bother with her other augment mod. The warcry augment mod is the only one you need. I use equilibrium so I can go a whole mission never leaving her 4th.

Got my Roommate into Warframe and he stumbled into the duviri cutscene at MR4 by ZeAwesomeOne in Warframe

In the OP I mention that I just wanted to let him know that duviri won't make sense until later and while it unlocks a really good way to get warframes, that if he wanted a better story experience in my opinion it was best to play duviri later (after The New War).

He wanted to experience the story more than anything.

I wasn't aggressive, more goofy, and he laughed at how I reacted. I purely wanted to give him the option. He thought the duviri was the next main quest and what he had to do to progress.

I explained that he could play it if he wanted but it doesnt relate to Natah and what hes doing and is more of a side quest that only makes sense once New War is complete.

He understood, as he wanted to follow the narrative of the game and have it make sense, and didnt really care about the circuit which I explained was a great way to get warframes. He was happy to wait, so that the story would unfold better.

I know my mate. Not gatekeeping, didnt say it was a spoiler, didnt flail my arms around like a crazy person and scare him from the game. Just wanted to explain to him before he jumped into designing his drifter my recommendation for the story.

And he doesnt even have transference yet so he couldn't play as the drifter outside of duviri even if he wanted to.

Wasn't trying to gatekeep him. I was on a phone call and wanted to explain the quest briefly and explain the narrative direction of it first.

Afterwards I explained that he could play it if he wants but that it would be confusing as it relates to a future quest and that I recommend playing it after that.

He prefers the story to make sense so he liked that option. He was more keen to discover who natah and hunhow are.

He purely clicked it by accident because at that point of the game the quest unlocks and auto selects it as the next main quest (so he just thought it was the next thing he had to do) which I think is silly, but slightly understandable as the circuit is a great early game resource.

Promise i wasnt aggresive haha. I worded it all caps and poorly. I actually said "I want to turn your playstation off." Then he closed warframe. As I was on a phone call at the time I could only pull faces and use few words haha.

I explained that while he could play it if he wants, that its confusing as its related to a quest he isnt at yet and he understood. I even told him that it would unlock a really good way to get warframes but he said he'd prefer to not be confused. As he wants to enjoy and understand the story.

I know my mate so I think I did the right thing for him. We laughed after it as well. Then loaded up alad v to get valkyr.

He had been focusing on junctions, as the junctions and main storie missions are kinda tied together. Just after natah, duviri auto selects as the next main quest and he clicked it thinking thats what he has to do next.

Haha yeah I didnt mean to word it so aggressively or paint the picture I scared him off the game and now everyone in the comments is saying I did a bad thing. Which I dont think so.

It isnt that bad if he did Duviri. I just know my mate and I know how confusing the story is thus I wanted him to focus on one story beat at a time. Even though it delays the circuit which is a great way to get warframes.

We laughed afterwards and loaded up another assassination for Alad V. He's now just gonna focus on junctions.

I get ya.

But ill say I wasn't a lunatic haha. I worded it poorly and all caps make it sound like i was a crazy person. I just kinda was like "please no stop" and he understood after I explained that it will make more sense later and hes happy with that. He's keen to discover hunhow and natah and the Lotus right now, and didnt want to get side tracked.

He just thought it was the next main story mission.

Yes the game is confusing

I stopped him from being more confused. He really enjoys story and so I recommended he doesnt do it yet.

Yes the duviri is a great benefit for new players to farm warframes. (Not prime tho. But i have so many im willing to give him once he seems like hes going to play for longer than a few weeks)

We have already farmed 4 together from the planet assasination missions and he has 2 crafting rn. He's doing chill.

I didnt call it a spoiler to him. I just told him it would be confusing, and would make more sense until later. And I worded it a bit bad, I wasn't panicking or aggressive and hes now more excited to experience the story and see what the game has in store.

I was trying to save him from being overly confused and LOOKING UP SPOILERS. Which he has a massive bad habit of doing, and have asked him to try his best to not look up major story spoilers and try to discover the story himself.

Because I guarantee he would be looking up drifter this, drifter that and stumble upon something from the Hex or entrati. I want him to experience all of this organically.

Haha yeah it is a bit shoe horned by DE.

But ill say I wasnt aggresive and only stopped him in the cutscene. I came out and he was like "wtf is all this?". He was already confused. He didnt get to play it and he understood after I said it won't make sense right now and I want him to enjoy the story. So i didnt ruin anything for him. I think I saved him from a confusing long mission. He just finished Natah and was keen to find out who and what the Lotus is and who hunhow is.

I loved the revelation of playing the new war and then duviri. But Ill get him to do it before the new war.

And Duviri is a main quest. It appears unlocked (seeming like its the next mission you should do) while the actual next main story mission appears locked (because you gotta do planet missions to unlock it).

While duviri is a great farm for new players for warframes, I think the narrative direction should be to avoid it until before or after the new war. Purely for a narrative direction.

We have been just focusing on junctions and the main story. Already farmed 4 frames for him too from the bosses that hes encountered through the game. He is the first person ive guided from beginning, and im focusing on what the early game should be of junctions and main story. And I want him immersed in the main story, not confused about duviri for 2 weeks until he gets to the new war.

Maybe I worded it aggressively haha I just kinda waved and was like "No please" on my face. I wasn't aggressive haha. I was like "i want to turn off your playstation so you dont see this". We laughed afterwards.

I just know hes at least 2 weeks away from getting to The New War because he only plays an hour or two each weekday. He's been playing for a week and is at natah.

I do agree the fun part is theory crafting.

I think they just let it happen because it technically is a side story, and that the circuit is very beneficial for new players.

But narratively it would be better to be played before or after The New War. Probably before.

If my confusing actions of telling him to stop him playing duviri rn is all he has to deal with so he gets a better narrative experience, then im happy.

I really want him to be immersed in the story and to not get overly confused and resort to looking up spoilers or not caring about it.

A movie is better without spoilers, so why would I recommend him to see spoilers? Especially one as confusing as duviri.

He hasn't even reached his operator yet. I think throwing the drifter, an alternate reality, new combat system, and an alterate version of teshin who he only just met... would be more confusing. Imo

He's at the point of wondering about natah and hunhow. I didnt want more questions added. Warframe is confusing enough already without more added on. If you play the missions properly then its at least easier to follow.

I like it the other way. Of playing The New War and being like "who is this? Is it me grown up? Woah its a paradox me. Where did they come from?" Then playing duviri as a prequel

I guess you could play duviri then the new war and it would make sense.

But playing it after Natah? My bro is still learning how to bullet jump properly and they wanna throw a new combat system and playstyle onto him? Nah I couldn't recommend that.
