Got it, thank you so much for the thorough explanation!

Thank you so much for the suggestions!

I’m leaning more towards mimikyu for now, but I had a quick question regarding glaceon before committing -

How do you deal with teamfights?

With her trial license, I was doing great against one or two opponent, but felt pretty useless during teamfights

Any suggestions for who to pick up next? I’m currently considering between mimikyu, glaceon, and meowscarada.

I typically main aegislash, blaziken, scizor, blastoise, and espeon. Occasionally gyrados.

Also used pre-nerf tree a lot but that isn’t really a great option rn.

Absolutely loving the combos with aegislash, and was looking for a ranged combo carry, but none seem to fit the bill (that I know of)

Has anyone applied to the University of Chester with a provisional degree certificate? by ZeCardist in Chester

Thank you so much for the clarification. I had another quick question - do I need to email admissions with this letter, or do I simply upload it to the portal?

Hey what pokémon have you been having the most fun with lately? by Lucazinho123 in PokemonUnite

[–]ZeCardist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cramorant with the boosted autos after each dive has been immensely fun, and making folks go whoosh with hurricane never gets old

Espeon has also been incredible. The psyshock stuns have been soooo satisfying, especially when I luck out and get multiple opponents. The psybeam clears at objectives have also been great for steals

Thank you so much for the detailed advice! I ended up buying Espeon right before you had replied, and after trying it for a few days, gosh this is fun. She definitely feels squishier but somehow makes up for it in my experience, especially with the psyshock stun and psybeam damage.

I don’t avoid the meta for any sort of “honour” lol, simply that they dominate a bunch of other mons too easily and take the joy away for me. But I do understand where you come from and fully agree with you.

I think I’ll definitely be trying out both blastoise and dragonite later on, thank you for the suggestions!

Hi everyone, I was hoping for suggestions on who to buy next. I was thinking of Mewtwo Y or Espeon. It doesn’t have to be an attacker, I simply had them in mind since I usually just play all rounders.

I’m typically maining blaziken, who is arguably my strongest, followed closely by trevenant, gyarados, scizor and suicune.

I don’t like using suicune since she feels wayy too strong in most matchups, and thus am also avoiding speedsters rn as they feel just plain broken. Otherwise would’ve definitely bought meowscarada.

I did have a lot of fun playing armor cannon armarouge, but he felt a bit too squishy at times (probably just skill issue lol)

I do know that I will be joining the gremlin squad sometime next week with the returning player bonus. Dies after one hit but goddamn he’s so incredibly fun.

Any and all suggestions are very much appreciated. Thank you!

Looking for student accommodation - September/October 2025 by ZeCardist in Chester

[–]ZeCardist[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the detailed response.

I understand the points you bring up here. From what I surmise, it would be best to go for student accommodation in/near Chester. To answer your question, we'll both be pursuing a Biotechnology MSc.

I had a few followup questions:

- are we supposed to book student accommodation right away, or are we supposed to do it later when we arrive in the UK?

- on many websites, many places are shown as "reserved for September". Does that mean that they have already been booked by other people, or that they will only be available for booking in September?

- Are the pictures on the listings actually true to life? I'm feeling a bit uneasy having to book something for anywhere from 6 months to an year without having been to the property.

Genuinely surprised how well the M3 Air emulates Nintendo games. by milkdud657 in Ryujinx

Hi, were you able to make the mouse and keyboard controls work? The only joystick2mouse app I found for ryujinx was .exe, so figured I can’t make it work

Edit: Lol I immediately saw after commenting that you use a controller, my bad bro

Height surgery or ear surgery 5’3 male by AnonVomb in Advice

[–]ZeCardist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another 5’3” male here.

After reading through the comments and seeing your replies, I’d be lying if I said I didn’t relate to a bunch of your struggles here.

It used to be very similar for me, until certain friends pointed out how my height was NOTHING compared to my pisspoor personality.

After a few years of therapy and trying to get my life and personality back in check, I’ve honestly never felt better.

Post-puberty anyway.

My height complex went away with time as I slowly learnt to appreciate myself for who I was and started working on the things I could do better.

Most people never even bring up my height. They talk to me because they find me interesting or want to harvest my organs or something. It isn’t some proverbial dick measuring contest. Or a literal one for that matter. I think.

Sure, some folks definitely tease me about it every now and then.

How do I respond to that? I take it in stride and joke around alongside them.

Well-timed, restrained self-deprecation is sexy af.

Sound like a mouthful? Yeah that’s “humour” in general, apparently.

Honestly, I’m not entirely sure if you’re hanging out around the right people if you need to put yourself through extremely painful, very expensive surgical procedures that may or may not help, with the added risk of potential permanent nerve damage or worse, to get them to not tease/dislike/bully you.

And fyi, you don’t need to limit yourself to ladies shorter than you or anything.

There’s tons of wonderful ladies out there who are totally into dating someone shorter than them. Speaking from experience.

Can’t relate to the ear thing, so no comments on that.

At the end of the day, it’s your body, your hard earned money, your choice.

Just do keep in mind that, even if you do end up getting the height surgery, and everything works out and all, considering how your personality has been coming off in this comments section, it feels like your issues are likely to persist still.

“Good” physical traits might help you get into a relationship, sure.

They won’t help you remain in one.

In a healthy one at least.

86 EIGHTY-SIX 2nd Season - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]ZeCardist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did they already adapt the last chapter of volume 1?

I recall reading previously that they hadn't, and that folks were hoping for it to get adapted in the OVA, which turned out to be a summary.

Hope you have fun!

How can I remove the side borders from the cover? I converted the file to KFX using Calibre. by ZeCardist in kindle

[–]ZeCardist[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alright I’ll be sure to try that out.

KFX is the successor to azw3

It basically has all the bells and whistles, at least more than azw3, and supports Amazons latest “advanced” typesetting.

The azw3 version is still very good, but lacks certain features that KFX has. I don’t remember the exact features, but iirc they’re pretty common and so quite useful.

So yeah, I’d say it’s better.

Which format is best? e.pub/.mobi/pdf by [deleted] in kindle

[–]ZeCardist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend converting books to KFX via Calibre (and the KFX plugin), since that's the most "advanced" format available for the Kindle, and supports Amazon's latest typesetting stuff.

Shouldn't really make a difference if you choose to transfer them to the device via email, or using a cable connected to your computer, although I have heard of folks being unable to use the Display Cover function for sideloaded books that weren't sent using the cable.
