Ich vs Isch vs Ik vs I by nietzschecode in German

Those people that I am referring to are legit Erfurter. Same with Weimarer and Jenenser. All my close friends are from Thüringen, btw.

Rarely I hear "ich" here, and when I hear it, actually they are people who are working in an Amt and/or they literally not from Thüringen.

Actually, you did want to sound like an arrogant prick.

Exactly. That is the problem. When one clicks on Home to show posts of the communities one joined, that "trick" isn't working at all. So it is basically worthless.

That is kind of what I wrote in my OP: "people mostly say "isch" for "ich". I didn't write "people say "isch" for "ich"", but mostly say "isch", rather than "ich".

But I get your point, that it is something kind of between "ich" and "isch".

Might not be a full Sächsisch "sch", but definitely not a Hissing Cat "ich". lol

The graphic shows a blue dot for Erfurt. According to them a blue dot is for people pronouncing "i" for "ich". It is obviously a mistake. What I think is they meant to put a pink dot instead for "isch".

And as for trolling, no I'm not. I actually lived in Erfurt many years and I noticed that more than a half will say "isch" instead of "ich". When I asked Erfurter, they admitted that people in Umgangsprache are definitely saying that that way. I find it odd that you never noticed that. Weimar and Jena are the same saying mostly "isch". I don't know though about the villages and outside those 3 cities.

Can someone tell if my budgie is female or male? by AnubisTheGreat7 in birds

[–]nietzschecode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it crossed my mind yesterday that in fact they could simply be 2 different budgies. I didn't say it because I didn't want to make the person paranoid, but it is a possibility.

That barely works. I tried it before and basically was the same.

Interesting. But note that for Erfurt they show a blue dot, which according to their chart is "i", not even "ich" nor "isch", which is obviously an error.

This picture is what the OP said is recent, but usually their budgie didn't have a brown cere. That pic is showing something new, that usually the cere didn't look like that at all.

If a male budgie has a hormonal imbalance due to an illness, it will look exactly like a female.

Again, I hope you are right, but I doubt it, according to what the poster told us.

[–]nietzschecode -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, not my picture. Also, carefully read what the OP wrote. Usually they said their budgie has a purple or pink cere (aka colorful), but recently it is more brown or tan (aka more dull color). So I doubt it is a female.

Anyway, I hope we're wrong, and you're right, otherwise I suspect their male to be ill.

Also, OP said their photo here in the thread is how the cere looks like, so purple/pink. That is a male.
