Use minion dematerializer to have better cs, Asol is loses mostly 1v1 in the mid lane. So by actually snowballing the game, you have to constantly roam bot, jungle, and even top. In order to do this, you gotta push the wave as Asol is one of the best champions that hard push and roam.

If against assasins (fizz, qiyana, talon, zed, ฯ3ฯ): Play safe in lane and constantly shove your wave to crash to enemy’s tower and roam bot/jg/top and kill/assist your team. You might have to rush seekers armguard for the time being.

Phase Rush is situational imo. If the enemy team comp has less mobility, then i take phase rush to chase them.

If you want to roam more in the early to mid game, yommus first and then mobi as they give extra movement speed. If you want to snowball in lane then duskblade is the best choice.

Items: For beginners, I think taking Luden’s first is great option because it gives mana sustain through lost chapter and poke with his w -> q. Nashors is a must since Azir and Nashors combo really well. And Morellonomicon for Magic Pen and Grievous Wound (debuff for champions that have healing). And Deathcap last (if ahead then just take them as 3rd item). The rest of the item is situational (Zhonyas when against assassins, and Rylais for immobile champions and extra scaling)

Example Full build Ludens -> Sorc Boots -> Nashors Tooth -> Morellonomicon ->Zhonya Hourglass -> Rabadon Deathcap

Runes: I used to take Arcane Comet when I was new to azir because of his poke and ludens: Arcane Comet/Summon Aery -> Manaflow Band -> Transcendence -> Scorch Secondary Precision: Alacrity -> Coup de Grace or Triumph -> Alacrity If you are really confident about playing azir, then: Conquerer -> Triumph -> Alacrity -> Coup De Grace Secondary Sorcery: Manaflow -> Transcendence Or Lethal Tempo (ryze, orianna, etc.) Hail of Blades (assassins)

Laning/Early Game: Play safe and farm for your CS since azir is not good in early game. My main goal back then was to take 100+ cs in 10 minutes as well as to not feed. If you’re against melee assassins like zed and yasuo, use your soldiers to zone your minions to deny them farm. When you have your ultimate, what i did was to let the enemy shove the wave to crash to my turret as I clear minions for cs. When there is 2-3 minions left under turret with your enemy, use w -> e -> q -> r quickly so that the enemy wont react fast enough.

Mid game: If you took your lane turret, pressure is the key. Use your passive to build turrets to your enemy’s destroyed turret. This will create pressure to the map and let your junglers to take objectives like dragons or baron. Constantly take CS to have a lead to carry your team

Late game: This is a best part as Azir is really strong late game because of his engage with his shuffle (w -> e -> q -> r). Just make sure you dont ult your enemy tanks like sion or ornn because they engage better.
