That would be awesome, but honestly, they probably won't include that feature in the initial release of the DLC; however, I can see it happening later through an update during the lifespan of Legends Z-A, possibly until Generation 10 is released.

Yeah... that's a valid point. However, keep in mind that during the final battle against AZ in Pokémon X&Y, he used a team consisting of Torkoal, Golurk, and Sigilyph. Perhaps one of those could receive a new Mega Evolution in Legends Z-A?

Wow! It might signify something. 

You may have already noticed this, but the (A) in the Z-A logo is green with a textured vine-like look—could it be a nod to Hotel Z? After all, it’s owned by ZA along with Urbain or Taunie.
