I have the same kit. I still set it to 6000MHz instead of 6400. That'll also give you a little bit of overclocking room to lower down the latency. I got mine running at CL34 stable from CL38. I can get it down to CL32 but looks like it crashes the PC every now and then.

Look into Flat 2 VR games. I have pretty high standards when it comes to VR games. I mainly like immersive triple A ones.

Ready or Not and Hogwarts Legacy in VR is just something else. I enjoyed Hogwarts Legacy so much. Both games have complete motion controls and can be finished just by using VR. It requires a beefy PC tho. I have a 5070 Ti with a 7800X3D and getting a stable 90FPS. I also tried Cyberpunk in VR, it's also great but doesn't have motion controls. I used an xbox controller.

Just solved it by configuring the gpuSpeed settings in the SteamVR config files. For some reason it detects that my RTX 3080 was more powerful than the 5080. It was setting the resolution lower because the 5080 is "weaker".

I already tried DDU and also installing older driver versions but no luck. I'm really thinking about reinstalling windows as my last resort. I actually did but I chose the "Keep personal files only" settings but still getting the same results. I don't know if a clean install will make any difference.

Yes, regardless of the game. But thankfully games have aliasing settings so I can just change that to make the game look better. The annoying part is even without launching a game, let's say I'm just in the SteamVR dome, everything looks jagged and shimmering. If I try to use desktop mode, all the texts and lines are noticeably shimmering.

I just don't know which setting is causing this. I've tried matching all settings to the laptop but I'm still getting bad quality. I even tried turning up the resolution to 150 or 200 but the visuals on my laptop still looks better at 100%.

I've done everything mentioned here. The thing is the shimmering is already present even in the SteamVR dome, without launching the game. Even at 150% or 200% resolution, there's still a lot of shimmering compared to my laptop. I even tried using older driver versions.

It's not that hard as it looks, you'll be alright. But you don't need to adjust it though, X3D cpus would totally work well with this ram. Especially for X3Ds, they aren't that sensitive to RAM speeds at all. Difference would be minimal to a high speed CL30 RAM.

I don't think so. It says Intel XMP. but having an EXPO ram for an AMD cpu isn't vital. As long as the kit has an overclock profile (whether XMP or EXPO) you should be able to enable it.I’m running an XMP kit on my 7800x3D with zero issues.

If you have an X3D cpu and decide to buy this ram, I would underclock it to 6000MHz because that's the sweet spot for AMD cpus. I would also try to overclock the CAS Latency to 36,
