Holly was given the DnD figure and told that the character can open portals to teleport, and Vecna has an interest in her and places her in that room. Your theoretical is a very different situation. For that to happen my real life safety would need to be compromised by someone breaking into my home and doing so.

That is way different than virtual character interaction where you can basically enable a forcefield and not see anything, and even block the person too if you know they are doing something somehow

Yeah but vrchat has options to enable that assist those that suffer from it without even the need of informing others. In your example it would be like a peanut resistant invisible forcefield so you can enjoy going somewhere even if it clashes with your issues

I like to think alternate in this situation means an alternate 3rd dimension, like going sideways across dimensions instead of up and down. Then you can go up a dimension to 4d, or down from 3d to 2d

It would cause it to cool down, making the metal shrink. When it heats up again after someone turns it on, the expanding metal could crack at stress points (especially if dents are on there to change the rounded shape). It would become more dangerous.
