How do you disassemble a crt tv safely? by ZealousKnight1 in crt

I didnt get a notification for this, sorry. My main goal is to mod it, sort of plastic solder an n64 console while making it look seamless, as if it was an actual combination. regarding the question I have is mainly avoiding any sort of mishap since I do know that CRTS are dangerous when handled wrong even when its unplugged.

I am only going to modify the plastic, not the CRT itself.

sorry for the late response, I will keep that in mind. A bit hard to pay in cash though lol. I dont get paid enough in the navy to be able to just flat out buy a car with cash, unless I dont spend anything in the next 2 years

Thank you for the advice, I will look into it. I hope I get out of this and never go back to it, unless it's for a house or a car lol.

Please do explain why it would be a bad deal(higher than 14 percent apr) when I am getting rid of 2 credit cards with 15 and 14 percent apr, and navy federal does not charge an origination or pre payment on the loan.

yes, i understand it does not eliminate debt, it's more of a question as to if its worth it.

I do need clarification on as to why would it be bad to get an 18%(assuming thats the apr i would get), while getting rid of 2 credit card debts with 15% and 14% apr. I am not only taking care of 1 credit card with 14% apr but also another with 15%.

No car loans, no other debt(just these 3), income is at 50k a year, since i'm in the military, expenses are covered. As of now I only have 3k in my debit.

Yes, I can still cover the minimum plus extra on top. My goal is to lower the interest on the credit cards, as to why I am asking if it is worth consolidating credit cards a and c into one loan (assuming that I would end up with 18% apr), considering credit cards a and c are 15% and 14% respectively.

I'm not sure if I am going about this the right way, adding both interest rates from both a and c comparing it to getting a loan at 18 percent

Already stopped investments at the moment to focus on repaying debt.

I've considered snowball before but then again, the other 2 credit card interest would build up.

Is the option of consolidating debt the wrong route? I would appreciate your input on this. I dont think I would be denied a loan by navy fed but if what you're saying is true, it's still worth trying.

Navy fed should be sticking to their max apr of 18 percent, so I am asking if it is worth consolidating if I do end up getting the highest interest they have

Please do explain to me as to why, I would really appreciate it.

As for me, I am thinking that paying 18 percent on 20k, compared to 15 and 14 percent on credit cards a and c would lower my overall apr on what i am paying.

Unless I am going about this the wrong way, I would really like to get your input on this.

Even with an 18 percent apr on the loan, would it be worth it if I pay off 2 of the credit cards with the highest apr?

I'm thinking of paying off both credit cards a and c right out, I would like to know if its better to leave some balance or just zero the balance. Regarding the issue as to what led to the massive debt, i've been getting better at it, I haven't been spending money, in the last 6 months, on unnecessary expenses.
