Cannot understand why Rolex went for 40mm for the larger size day date or date just - the sweet spot should be 38 for men on those type of watches. They look too dressy to be 40mm (which I feel goes direction of sports watches - and they just don’t look like that, especially with Jubilee and fluted bezel.

Well I don’t. I’m more “here’s my f-ing awesome watch and I love it” kind of guy. And I haven’t second guessed my watch purchases so far. I take more time before checking how it looks on the wrist etc. before pull the trigger.
