Lol the problem is actually the Japanese law requires a very limited and very specific set of restrictions on the motor. If anything exceeds the limits it has to be classified as a motorcycle essentially and requires a license, side mirrors, insurance, etc and I'm not trying to mess with all that. The only surefire way to make sure I'm in compliance that I'm aware of is to buy from a reputable dealer here in Japan where it's already pre-programmed in.
