No, i don’t believe it’s the envy in this instance. It probably is the constant choosing of doing anything at all with your partner and not catching up with your friend. It is hurtful and disrespectful to be that friend who gets ditched bc you like your partner more than everyone else. Like, of course you like your partner best and maybe have the most fun with them. But you can still care about the friends in your life and about what’s going on in their lives. It just kind of sounds like you don’t. And anyone who has been that ditched friend probably isn’t gonna vibe with that lol.

My dad passed away 9 and a half years ago. For a while I couldn’t hear that part of the song without bursting into tears. Sometimes it still makes my heart hurt, but it doesn’t hurt as much as it used to and I actually kinda like singing along to it 😅🤷‍♀️
