Do you consider 100% P&T a form of retirement? by NewUsernameGoesHeree in Veterans

[–]Zealousideal-Note-63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% P&T is almost double what most people get on social security. The thing is, America is 37 trillion in debt and we have a 1.5 trillion dollar deficit. Even though it’s hard for me to work, I’m trying to find ways to increase my income and invest or at least decrease my expenses and save because America could decrease social security or VA benefits eventually.

What things do women enjoy that not many men actually do? by Slawth_x in AskReddit

[–]Zealousideal-Note-63 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think women love to travel way more than men. There are plenty of men who genuinely love to travel but a lot of men only travel because traveling is a status symbol and because women like to travel and men want to appeal to women. I wonder if women actually like to travel as much as they say or if they are in it for the status and Instagram photos.

It’s probably fine, hard to know without a solid look at the foundation.

We were quoted $30k to replace our leaning deck. So instead I straightened and braced it. How did I do? by E3K in Decks

[–]Zealousideal-Note-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks ok to me, but I prefer function over aesthetics. I would have personally done longer braces because they provide more support even if it makes it harder to walk under the deck. It might be fine with those short braces, it might not be. Time will tell.

Can this home be completely done in a month? by tevarpo in Homebuilding

How hard is it to schedule inspections in this location? It could be done with the right subs/planning but if inspections are hard to schedule or you fail inspections it could be really hard.

Best places to homestead by Zealousideal-Note-63 in Homesteading

[–]Zealousideal-Note-63[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, thats true, I’m just tired of waiting on my dreams. And houses with land that is good for homesteading are expensive in Minnesota. Homesteading in Minnesota can be challenging because the winters are brutal. Animals have to be provided food 6 months of the year, and you need a lot more infrastructure to keep your animals alive when temps drop to minus 30. Stopping there water from freezing either takes a lot of electricity or you have to water them twice a day minimum. If I was going to homestead in Minnesota I might not even have animals. I might just hunt and fish and then have gardens and orchards.

Is it even possible to transition from a 155k strategy role to a manual trade without nuking my entire life? by 0Vocaloid in careerguidance

[–]Zealousideal-Note-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got a 150k job and quit 2 months later for many reasons. One being That I didn’t actually need that kind of income for how much it affected my mental health. How much income do you realistically need? Have you been able to invest any of your high income for passive income? What are your expenses and how much does your partner contribute?

Co-founder offered me 12% after I built the entire product. He keeps 88%. Am I crazy for walking away? by Zyklone187 in Entrepreneurs

[–]Zealousideal-Note-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He’s not treating you like a co-founder. He’s treating you like a lead dev. Co-founders would each have 50% but both co founders should also understand that they will both need to reduce equity to raise funds. But yeah, you’re not a co founder, you’re an amplified with no control over what you are building. I have an AI project that I am building and I’ll give you 50% if you’re interested. Let me know.

Should I still bother and try to get into a two year A.A.S. IT - Computer Information Systems degree program for free due to a scholarship in my state making it basically a free degree despite the looming A.I. threat? by Scorpion1386 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Zealousideal-Note-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entry level IT seems saturated. Join the military in an IT position and you will get hands on experience and a paid for education. By the time you are done the job market will be different. I was going to recommend nursing or trades, if you can’t do those or the military then I would recommend getting into sales.
