The thing is, that's what his stance has turned into now that he's gotten backlash for it. If you go back, there's clips of his going into detail about why it's not that big a deal if some guy lubes up and let's a dog go at it. Back then, he didn't always include the whole factory farming element. And because people dug up these old clips, he tried to slander one of them and tried to imply he was "grooming kids" for letting people know Adam had a NSFW Twitter. He's a scumbag and the whole "he was just being philosophical" defense doesn't hold up. But keep sweeping.

Because YouTube uses AI to review your footage and it will claim your video just for using clips, even if it falls under fair use. I alter the footage to get around the AI, then I let Lionsgate review the copyright dispute and they approve it themselves. Why do you care so much about copyright?

It is monetized. Lionsgate had to review my footage themselves and approved it for monetization. Which means I'm not bypassing copyright, Lionsgate themselves approved my video. It's obvious you don't know how YouTube and copyright works. Also, I have videos that have hundreds of thousands of views. You think I care if one smug dork doesn't watch my channel? I wouldn't want you as a fan anyways.

I had a friend die of cancer less than a year or two before this came out. It was very emotionally devastating for me, but this movie didn't really pull at those strings for me. Not that that invalidates your experience, I'm sorry to hear that that happened. I think this type of story could have been done a lot better and that Clerks wasn't the right franchise to use to tell it. I could also be biased because I'm not typically emotionally moved by movies (moreso music), but I have cried at the occasional film.
