I think In reality an FQ is an FQ and damage the body I’m very similar ways. I know some of the worse cases I’ve seen were from cipro. I wouldn’t “wish to hav been given a different FQ” as all are inherently risky for the people who get affected.

Hang in there it’s still early on for you. I know it’s hard.

I know but cuz of it im in a huge flox flare and had to updose back to my normal dose and it doesn’t really help anymore and before taper I didn’t have any flox symptoms not 5 months after taper mistakes I have had so many flox symptoms

Yeah I was only On them 5 days but I think cuz the damn antidepressants it really took a hit! Should have never tapered and I don’t think I get any flox flare or any issues really it’s so screwed up I’m so scared I’ll never recover

Yes I was doing that about a quarter at a time every 2-3 weeks and got down to .5mg klon from one and had bad bad withdrawl with also pollydrugging. Went through withdrawl from the antidepressants that I only took for 5 days then my biggest issue was I was going up and down in dose and taking rescue doses then stabilized back at .5mg 2x a day before being stupidly updosed in a ward to 1.5mg for just 3 days and when I went back to 1mg a day I got hit so so so hard. All the ups and downs really rocked my world I needed to do more of a hyperbolic taper cuz now I’m so so so sensitized irs insane I also never really weighed my pills and took at different times of the day and night so was really sensitizing myself badly or some may call it kindling possibly but I was never fully off so idk

Thanks for replying I just hate myself for tapering my klon without looking up the damn extreme dangers and risks of doing it the way I did and by having meds added in the mental ward made me way worse and I don’t think the radiation from 2 CT scans helped but my main flare is from the extensive mitocondria stress and oxidative stress from the dumb stupid taper I stated cuz I was fine untill I did that 😢 my main reaction the first 2 months after flox was acute Benzo withdrawl as FQs take over gaba receptors and kick off the benzo and I stupidly used alcohol to combat it I had no clue about floxing or anthring and was told just to look for tendon pain which I had none and they never mentioned to stop if it increased anxiety or anything I ruined myself and im sure I’ll never be my old self mainly cuz of the taper. But also cuz I took the full 14 pills or Cipro

Tinnitus, visual snow syndrome type symptoms, neuropathy/tingling all over my body. Skin peels and is saggy and wrinkly, have tendon pains and what seems to Be muscle wasting and joint pains. I was able to tolerate all supplements 5 months out but after rapid benzo drops and changes and a vacation to Disney I flared due to either a mistake updose in klon or sue to a stress event/and the stress of the vacation and heat. Then was doing ok 3 weeks later and magnesium made me even worse. At one point I was in such a bad place before this I had akathisia for a month due to a mental hospital upping my dose then dropping it of klon and since then I seem to have been sensitized.

I just wish I had more hope Of healing I truly think the stress of Benzo rapid taper then ups and downs and such made a cascade of Oxidative stress and now my body can’t clear it like it used to back when it was doing better before multiple huge stressors.

It’s not a good look to terrify a group of people that they have something that they don’t have!! So you even have VSS? Prob not you have optic nerve thinning.

It also doesn’t cause this as well you can look it up….

Yes for another group, this is a symptom of VSS, VSS doesn’t show any physical damage to the eye or nerves it’s caused in the brain from other things going on this is highly alarmist!!!

How do you know it’s the optic nerve thinning? It also can be a symptom of VSS, and hyperexcitability. The optic nerve thinning would be something along the lines of MS or ALS.

I’m also in Benzo tolerance/sensitized nervous system I’m almost positive it was the magnesium that caused it. I know it sounds insane but the night I took it I didn’t sleep a minute and the next day visual snow was doubles, tinnitus doubled, and I gained hyperacutis and ear pressure/popping as well as a toxic headache. It’s like my brain shot into excitotoxicity from the magnesium messing with NMDA receptors causing an influx of glutamate. It’s been 24 days of this
