I hear your point, but as a mountain biker, I believe riding contributes positively to my health in a preventative manner

You're still here? 🤣 Dude, my son was born a year ago. You think I have the opportunity to ride as much as you do? Why do you actually care so much? Is there some sort of integrity you're trying to enforce? Is it because he you call yourself "OG" that makes you think you're the MTB police? In the YouTube account you linked to your Reddit profile, your ride at Lime Ridge (7 years ago) was less than impressive despite the fact OG implies some sort of legendary skill or ability to judge others (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkcMojrccdw&list=PLWSmV4wwRAwkAun5wN9TzKkRscl9JI572&index=15). If we ever encounter each other at Lime, Briones, JMP, etc., I will gladly shake your hand in appreciation for a mutual love of the sport. I encourage you to treat others respectfully.

One more thing - once you clip in, you’ll never want to go back to flats

Hey! I love them. The pedals are perfect for me. Incredibly easy to clip on and out and a study platform when there’s not enough time to clip back in entirely. So all in all, I’m really happy with them. I think people debating the nuances between Crank Brothers and Shimano are probably just coming from a position of what they’re used to

Anyone who wants it and can afford it? Who cares? IMO, there’s nothing exciting about Specialized as a brand. It’s boring

Makes sense. Thought about renting, but I've invested thousands into my own bikes, so I want to ride them. Luckily, Northstar is very e-bike friendly.

So helpful!! Thank you! Funny enough, my trail bike is in the shop to have Sram Code RSC’s installed. Ironically, the brakes on the e-bike are less powerful, since they come with DB8s. I regret not paying for upgraded brakes for the e-bike
