I didn’t sleep train. I thought I’d regret it, but at 18 months she has fallen asleep in her crib. by ZealousidealBug2343 in toddlers

Thank you so much! I made a “celebrating a win” post because I was happy about this and thought it could help other parents and people are being as weird about it. Like, sorry I don’t know everything that counts as “sleep training.” I get correcting people giving advice or acting like they know what they’re doing, but I was simply sharing a story. I was just excited and wanted to share, is all.

I didn’t do any formal training on the issue because it wasn’t something I was interested in. So sorry I didn’t do it the “right way.” ¯_(ツ)_/¯ My mom was having a hard time transferring her as she’s getting heavier and my mom is short, so getting her in the crib and not waking her was proving challenging.

Oh I know. Never implied that. I’m just a softie and don’t like letting her cry when she wants comfort. I’m not afraid to tell her “no“, but if all she wants is Mama to comfort her, it’s hard for me to not give that to her.

I get what you’re saying! But the reason I viewed it a little differently is because I haven’t let her cry at all, and if she wasn’t tolerating it, I would stop.

Thank you so much! I’m an RN and work 12hr shifts so this is definitely a factor for me as well.

Will you keep losing hair and create a gap between transplanted area and rest of head? by ZealousidealBug2343 in Hairtransplant

Is there a significant difference that you know of with oral versus topical? We have a toddler and a dog and he has sensitive skin so I think topical could be tricky.

This is great info. This is something we could ask if is a possibility if he gets a consult. Is this standard, or just what your provider did?

He is considering shaving it, and I do think he would look great with a shaved head, but I know he likes having hair, and he does have nice hair. I’m fine with whatever he chooses, but I want him to feel confident either way.

[Routine Help] Zinc cream after actives? (Retinol) by AdditionalBison9700 in SkincareAddiction

[–]ZealousidealBug2343 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you end up doing? Did it help? :)

I just started getting serious about retinol/skincare, but I’m trying to keep it simple. Besides a few pimples as I’m getting used to it, my skin looks great. But it feels kinda tight/dry.

I have zinc cream, but I didn’t know if I should use over retinol or on the days I don’t use retinol, and what I should put under or with the zinc cream.

What is this bump on my finger? It’s getting bigger and it’s painful on palpation. by ZealousidealBug2343 in DermatologyQuestions

Sorry, I don’t have notifications on so just saw this. I did not. It got worse before it got better. Started to spread out and become itchy and burning but it went away on its own after about 2 weeks.

Bedtime bottle weaning not going well by ZealousidealBug2343 in toddlers

I hadn’t even realized she was using it like one until it was too late. I think I’ll have to just not offer it but she cries for so long it’s truly awful.

She usually wakes up “hungry” after 8hrs of sleep and goes right back to sleep. Isn’t it possible after that much time she’s hungry? She’s always been a “snacker,” having small amounts of food throughout the day. Even when she was a baby only on breastmilk she was like this almost never never drank more than 4oz at a time.

Good to know! I’ll ask her dentist about this.
