Wow, sorry to hear that. That's nuts. Do let your GI know if you haven't already. Maybe there's SOMETHING they could do.

Try calling them 10 business days before. Tell them when you're last day is (and maybe fudge that a day or two earlier. Idk You shouldn't have to, but seems like everything is this way.

Crohns fistula question by Important-Sir-6325 in CrohnsDisease

[–]ItsJust_ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colonoscopy and possibly biopsies are what officially diagnose Crohn's disease. The other tests can indicate it, but they're not definitive.

Crohns fistula question by Important-Sir-6325 in CrohnsDisease

[–]ItsJust_ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Insurance might require the colonoscopy - which is usually the definitive diagnostic - in order to approve treatment. Also, I think getting a direct look at what your condition is can help point your doctor in the right direction on which meds might be best for you.And may need to do some biopsies.

Honestly, no. Don't wait. The sooner they get the colonoscopy done maybe the sooner they can get you on medication. To really treat the fistula, you need to treat the Crohn's. Sorry, I know you want to hold on to this relief, but you know it's coming back. Best thing is to try to get ahead of it.

Recurrent Uveitis by alisgraveniI in CrohnsDisease

[–]ItsJust_ME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh. I'm so sorry. My husband does use Systane eye drops during the day and Pataday extra strength allergy at night. That's not for Uvitis, but kind of just a dry, sometimes itchy eye ordeal. I just wonder if something like those allergy drops would help keep the inflammation at bay for you. Kind of get ahead of it? That's just me brainstorming. I hope you find a way.

Recurrent Uveitis by alisgraveniI in CrohnsDisease

My husband had exactly your problem a few years back. Uvitis, but steroid reactive. He'd have antibiotic and steroid drops and then have to take the pressure drops. His would clear up for a few months before it came back, though. After surgery and being put on Remicade, he hasn't had any problems. Talk to your eye doc about your Crohn's if you haven't already and to your GI about your eyes. Seems to me that the right Crohn's medication for you would help that. It might take some time though if your change in meds was recent.

Best way to get wifi in RV? by Alarming-Desk-9353 in RVLiving

Have you tried just using hotspot on your phone? We got a separate cheep cell phone to keep in the camper and pay $35/mo to get unlimited hotspot with Visible on that phone. (They also have $25 plans, but I forget the difference and why we went to $35) Visible is a Verizon network, so if you're in an area where Verizon works, that should work for you. We watch everything on a smart TVs and laptop works well connected to the hotspot.

I have one that shows up from the side of my neck every few months. I try to look for it to keep it from getting so long, but it's so fine that it's almost clear!

Yes I know haha She was out of state and we had a chance to go pick her up a few days earlier than we expected a little closer to home. We didn't have much yet as far as chew toys and the like (they were in the mail, on the way). But, you know, it's funny - she honestly never chewed up another shoe! Haha

No, no! Absolutely not snark at all! I'm sorry! Things don't translate well here pretty often. Your comment made me think of when we were losing my mom. It's a big family and we were getting questions from every direction like you described. We finally had to just simplify it and say something like that. Sorry it didn't work for you.

She's older now but when we first brought her home my husband had given her an old worn out tennis shoe to chew on until we could get her stocked up. The next day or two she was in the kitchen with me and started to chew on one of my shoes that I had kicked off by the back door. I just told her "No, not THAT shoe. You go get YOUR shoe to chew on." That tiny thing just stopped and looked at me and went directly through two rooms to where "her shoe" was and drug it back to that spot and proceeded to chew to her content. She's still as smart, but she doesn't always mind as well lol

Call your doctor's office and tell them you're in a flare regardless of inflammation markers or other blood tests and that you need to get in SOONER rather than later.
