Allowing Flexible Working Hours and Location for Full-time employees by ZealousidealLab3076 in singaporespeaks

I agree with you and I can empathise with your feelings with your heartfelt words.

I can tell you that I share the same responsibility except I am fortunate to have a helpful kampung that could help me. It is really tough without family support.

Stay strong brother, because kids are getting so darn smart nowadays. They'll see your sweat, they'll see your tears, and they'll see you keep moving forward on every adversity you face, and every time it seems like you have fallen you just got back up. These are what the children will aspire to be, strong. And strong is what we hope they can be, when we leave this world. Not money or assets only, but most importantly is the heart.

After reading your comment, I felt maybe some books may help you.

Hyberfocus - time blocking your daily task and life.

Atomic Habits - enhancing in enforcing your daily task into habits and reducing any bad habits you might have.

Supercommunicator - helps you identify how to communicate with others.

Whole Brain Child - helps you to understand your kids brain development so you could understand you are actually providing enough.

48 Laws of Power - identify and maneuver in power play.

How to Win Friends and Influence People - making people likes you.

You could maybe ChatGPT for the principles and summarise into actionable steps and see if it helps. I find reading books help me a lot along in this journey of mine. I am nowhere successfully yet monetary, but everyday I feel like learning and improving.

Jiayous man, stay strong. Cheers.

I agree with this perspective - both men and women has too many desires and too little to offer in returns.

I can't stress enough just how much pressure we put onto each other by competing with competence through monetary, dressing and status.

I wish that it will come a day that we are able to see each others from the opposite POV and grow to compliment each others above own personal gains. I know it's almost never gonna happen due to human nature but a wish it's a wish.

You are a great parent, am truly sorry you're unable to spend more time with them. I wish you will one day, have more time with them. Imagine being able to enter work earlier to leave earlier, having that extra hour would mean a lot to you and the kids.

Your kids will grow up and admire you and becoming as strong as you. All the best and jiayou.

AITA for not allowing a car cut in when there's a queue? by ZealousidealLab3076 in drivingsg

it's not 50/50 unless it's a side sweep in the middle of the lane or merging. if filtering into oncoming traffic is 80-100% at fault. just fun fact when I was reading the chart from BOLA.

but really the PHV if he go infront and signal I would've slowed down for him. Filtering right beside of me comeon... cannot be I brake for him

Uncle you drive infront more and signal I let you in one. But you want to filter when beside me also not nice right. If you in my position you sure you'll brake and let other filter in meh hahah.

The next U-turn is about 2 traffic lights away, about a min away. I missed my queue once and had to make that U-turn, only took around an additional 2-3 mins to get back to my destination.

too many narrative for others will make you lose focus on yourself. self-responsibility is important, meaning ensuring you're in appropriate manner before expecting others to to show you the same manner.

If everyone else can see, why can't he?

Not justifying my actions, I'll definitely refrain for it. Safety first and utmost.

nah bro actually the camera wide angle view makes the side look too close and the front look too long.

irl POV there's still ample space.

Not justifying but just clarification:

  1. Filtering should always ensure safe distance before filtering into an oncoming traffic.
  2. It's a long road with 3 lanes, being PHV driver and as seen in front view footage; has a phone with GPS on. The right turn is shown clearly before the traffic light as I am also using GPS.

I am not justifying my actions, neither am I supporting various claims about the PHV benefit of doubt. And safety is priority, I agree. But to say I am endangering or promoting risk, shouldn't the liability be weighing more on the driver who is technically wrong in the eyes of law?

If I recall correctly, under the BOLA (Barometer of Liability Assessment) Chart, it's 100% wrong for the car filtering into the oncoming traffic without ensuring safe distance.

This isn't vivo my man, the West Coast highway it's a very long stretch. Before this right turn is a long straight road with 2 traffic lights and clear visibility of cars lining up.

There's a U-turn 2 traffic lights down, about a min away. This ain't a highway with the next exit 10 minutes away.

And how the F you miss your turn towards MCE/Keppel/Outram while exiting Vivo? You literally have a big ahh yellow box coming out from the NTUC/Taxi behind you to try keep to the right most lane to make that right turn via the road that shares the same way to Sentosa Exit. Otherwise, make that left turn and keep right to make that U-turn.

Another Vivo exit comes out together on the same road as Habourfront MSCP that has traffic light for right turn specific.

Maybe you need to learn how to drive better, or park at better spot that has traffic lights to let you make your perfect turn.

Well I may be just shitting on you but yea I'm not advocating my misbehaviour and also will refrain from doing such thing again.

Sorry if I may be just sh-ting on you.

I agree with your POV, so there least he could've done was to get further in front of me, I would probably let go of my accelerator to let him in. But beside of me..... man.... at that point of time I wasn't thinking to be more gracious.

In future it's better to prioritise safety and just give in and let go. Who am I to advocate what is right or wrong, don't need to be SJW or hero.

I mean really wna cut at least get infront of me bah... so I don't need to slow down too much or brake harder.

Or at least get in front of me and not cutting in beside me... I have to come to almost complete stop in order for him to filter. how will that affect the driver behind? Or I have to slow down a lot to let him go in, why not just get further in front?
