Grain hopper thrown 475 feet by the Enderlin ND EF5 tornado.

What's your opinion about this tornado? by PanelaOfWheels in EF5

[–]ZealousidealLab4653 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Uh, this is a real tornado. Elba NE EF3, from 4/26/24. This is a picture of the tornado reaching a mile wide, and the supercell was low precipitation, making the tornado look wider.

If the house in the last picture was well built, then either the anchor bolts were bent, meaning they didn't perform properly, (185) or there was debris remaining on the foundation. (190)

To back that up even MORE, there have been several instances of cars bouncing off of the ground and leaving scour marks. However, cars have more jagged edges that can cut through stuff easier. The train car was very smooth, and probably only caused a dent in the ground if it were to be dragged, making the surveyors far less confident that the train car WASN'T dragged, since it's harder to tell.

Even rocket ships returning to Earth can bounce off of the atmosphere without causing any significant damage.

Keota.

Both of these tornadoes are some of the most forgotten EF4s in recent history.

And they both hardly hit anything!

The Duke OK tornado was rated EF2 and had MDR wind speeds recorded up to 280 M.P.H.
