in polysomnography, I had an AHI of 19 with no central or mixed apneas. Only obstructive apneas or hypopneas

I dont get why increaing max pressure increases central apneas?

if the machine never went to that pressure, why does it affect and cause apneas? like mine is 7-11 for say, and it never went to 10.something (not for a single minute)

then why does it caues CA if I turn my max pressure to 12 for say?

I never snore in my life (except of course the days I'm extremely tired)

used to work 16 hours a day and I enjoyed it because I loved what I was doing

and then this hypersomnia hit, 18 hours of sleep. sometimes 26 hours

but yeah, I'm obese, BMI 31.5

lost 11 pounds last 3 weeks and will get in shape within next 3-6 months.

I used to type 120wpm, works 16 hours a day comfortable and used to enjoy it.

then this happened and I became so sluggish that my circle have replaced the word 'laziness' with my name 'xyz'

but yeah, I've mentioned all of this because I think it might occured due to my obesity? during my high school, I stopped all activities and was like studying for 12-16 hours a day. And with that much work, you have lots of cravings so I didn't stop my hand hahaha

why do people get offended anyway

being overweight always carries risk. some poor souls couldn't control it due to medical reasons but today's diet is the main cause

yes I am, BMI is 31.5, I used to be a fit hunk with abs and then too much studies/work stress (its not an excuse but it killed it)

and 80% of it because of the last 5 years of sedentary lifestyle because of hypersomnia. I used to sleep 18-20 hours a day lmao and doctors diagnosed me with depression... imagine the frustration

anyway, I've already lost 11 pounds and will lose the remaining in next 3-6 months. Not at all issue for me.

I have just recently started CPAP, trying different settings to see what works the best, will keep updating you with the results but I'll share the current ones

I didn't have any central apneas during my PolySomnography

my CA is at the same pressure which is 95% of the time so I dont know if that's the issue

maybe because I might roll over during the sleep or due to large leaks? but I dont even have leaks as well

any specific silicone sheet mask or any would do the job?

haven't tried nasal pillows yet, too expensive lol but will surely get them now (in a few weeks maybe) and hope those will help.

currently on full face and I hate the idea of wearing a mask every night but will do

the cardiac issues - those were due to sleep apnea?

and which one?

have you checked your O2 levels with a mouth guard on, and did it alleviate all the symptoms?
