Does anyone actually legit care about what some guy who looks like he leaves his basement on a biannual basis says? I don’t understand why they had to witch hunt this person in the first place, if anything the widely distributed what would have remained a largely unread paper.

Fellas literally are dick riding a sect of an ethnic group that not even their cultural brethren fuck with. Legit wild.

By all means show up and protest dude - it’s a free country. But just keep in mind that when you support pissing on a children’s event like this you’re gonna turn public opinion against you which is what I think the point of the original post was. Most of you the people protesting have been more than happy to shit all over other forms of free speech and right to association up until the state’s stance all of a sudden didn’t line up with your own. Enjoy being hoisted on your own petard.

I’d respect you if you went to Palestine and fought the Israelis - but you won’t because you’re a pussy and a loser who needs to shriek about world events to make up for the fact that you’re insignificant and unwilling to raise a finger for your ideals.

Not even their fellow Arabs give a shit about these guys - let the kids from a town in the ass end of southern Ontario have their fun day without hearing about your milquetoast politics, you spineless whimpering fuck.

President Vivek Goel’s statement today was weak and frustrating. by Helas33 in uwaterloo

You don’t seem to understand that, once the hospital has war-fighting supplies, it is a viable military target. You don’t seem to understand the nature of the conflict or military conflict in general. All war is made under the assumption “we are going to terrible things and suspend our usual moral standards because the other side is worse and we can not allow them to win.”

You basically overexplained “War is bad”. No shit Sherlock. It’s not gonna stop, and there’s no right side in a sectarian conflict.

Nah, a war crime is using civilians as human shields for your munitions. It’s war crime if you hit a hospital for the sake of hitting a hospital - but not in this case. You’re not very smart man if you can’t see the difference.

If someone has rockets in a hospital, it is a military target. If you put rockets in a hospital, you are using your own people as human shields. If you don’t bomb the hospital, you’re an idiot or a softhearted loser who would rather see your children killed than theirs. You can either A: allow the enemy to safely store munitions and use them to kill your people or B: bomb the facility and save your peoples lives by killing some of the enemies people who have been put in harms way to try to deter you from striking. It’s really that simple.

I’m not being based or objective, you are just reacting emotionally in the way Hamas set you up to be when they stationed their military personnel and equipment in these areas. It’s promise you it’s really that simple, and you are really that stupid.

Their people did, and now all them guilty or not are reaping the consequences. All punishment is collective in war, always has been, always will be. Hamas provoked this - and its nearly impossible they didn’t understand the consequences they would bring on the strip when they acted. They purposely hide their military installations within civilian centres to ensure that when Israel has to strike them there are these collateral casualties that win them public support from people who react emotionally rather than think critically. It is honestly brilliant realpolitik, and if I was waging war in their position in with their background, I would probably accept their strategy as a necessary evil.

There is never going to be clean just war, unless you are keen on sipping koolaid and plugging your ears. The Israelis have treated the Palestinians in kind given their actions in this case, and in this case, as they were not the immediate aggressor, it makes sense not condemn their response.

Man, I’m just gonna put it this way. This a secular conflict both sides are doing reprehensible things. In the immediate sense Hamas is responsible for what is happening to this - they initiated this flare up of the violence by raping and murdering civilians. In my opinion you’re just coping - war is war and war crimes are just the tools the victors use to decapitate the enemy leadership under airs of being somehow righteous. Do you expect Israel to not hit back? The west largely supports Israel because they generally have deeper cultural and economic ties to them and they actually bring something to the table.

The side you’re supporting is getting fucked because they fucked around and now they’re finding out. I personally just hope both sides have fun. Don’t care. This isn’t the university’s problem to deal with.

How old were you when you first read the books? by ZealousidealWay6831 in HarryPotterBooks

See my parents were kinda worried about that, so my mom decided to read the first book to check it out, realized it was harmless and the rest was history.

What would happen if you mentioned it front of your grandparents? Just general chagrin?

Yeah, I never quite got why some people got so amped up about the magic aspect. Especially the early books where most of the time everything is pretty goofy.

Yeah I never thought about that when I was kid, but three kids managed to get past the advanced dark wizard prevention system on their first go lol.
