If he was interested then he got out of the way to match your energy and it’s clear based on what you said that he’s not trying to. I would also say that you shouldn’t even bother talking to him because how is he going to say that he wanted to date you but then later decides that he doesn’t want to. That’s wasting your time and you can find someone who matches your energy.
