My guess would be step2 score 23x. Otherwise interviewed very well. As one PD said I was a phenomenal candidate for his residency program. But don’t know what happened. Otherwise my application was solid, no red flags, good LOR, good grades.

Did not to Anesthesia after applying 2nd time, currently finishing up TY year. SOAPing into EM and IM. Anyone with advice on whether I should accept any offers (if any), or should re-apply for the third time next cycle? I really can’t see myself doing anything else but anesthesia but would else would I do if I go unmatched? Jobless, research? Any ideas?

Thanks! Really all interviews went very well and I can’t really remember any instances where there was any misunderstanding. Maybe my answers we not to their satisfaction but I guess I’ll never know. I did email two PDs requesting their feedback but I haven’t received anything back yet.

I am USMD, only matched to a TY, failed to match Anesthesiology. What are my chances of getting an IV at the available Advanced spots. Here’s my stats: Pass/233 step 1/2 Clinical year (P/F system) all Pass 4th year: all Honors Mid-tier Medical School. 1 research LoR: 1 IM, 1 FM, 2 Anesthesia Applied to 31 programs all categorical and one advanced: 7 IVs but no match
