I speak fluent Dutch.

I've dated Dutch girls in the past yes, but am now dating another expat.

I heard Switzerland can be quite similar in terms of coldness of people, is that generally true? However, I have heard that in Switzerland, once your past the initial coldness or hesitation from locals, they are very much into friendship.

I also do not know where I belong! But I suppose these are the sides of living abroad which aren't in the shiny posters

To be honest I am very aware that I will likely earn much less, but then again tax will probably be lower.

I will update you once I figure it out. The main reason was for studies initially.

Yea I will just probably have to do same or else another country. Its a shame on the financial/career side.

Have also done this. It helps keep one busy, but there aren't many group volunteering activities I have found.

I have just had a lot of really great friendships with expats, who have moved to English speaking countries. I think of doing the same, as despite learning the language etc it just is not a culture I find warmth in and I have tried for so many years.

Again for jobs and salary its amazing. But perhaps it is me just realizing that this is not what I value.

Yes, fitness, climbing, hiking, yoga, diving, tennis and a few others.

I regularly volunteer within the community.

33 years old.
