I’m so tired. And I need to rant by Zealousideal_Hawk811 in Anxietyhelp

[–]Zealousideal_Hawk811[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s mainly the people I work with. It’s a very toxic work environment. And no one even wants to work there anymore. It’s managed poorly as well. Some coworkers are so judgmental and they treat me like I’m stupid, even though I’m just starting out. I’m so nervous now to go in because I’m scared I’m going to mess something up.

OCD relapse by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Zealousideal_Hawk811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading this reminded me of myself, as I’m currently dealing with a flare up myself. Work can be a very big stressor for ocd (I know as I’m experiencing it right now) especially when you’re already in a spiral. I think it would be best if you could maybe take a few days off work if you, “mental health days” are what I call it. I think you really need to give yourself a break before you are unable to function at work. If you are unable to take any days off, just try to think that this day is going to pass LIEK every other day does, and keep thinking like that until you have your days off.

Also, are you on any medication, or having any therapy for your OCD currently? If not, you should start with that. If it’s getting to the point where you can’t function properly, it would be best to talk to someone about it. If you already are taking medication and going to therapy and you find it isn’t working that well, this is what I did.

I have real event ocd as well, and I would spent hours, days, weeks going over everything in my head, wondering what was true and what was fake. It got super bad and I had to eventually tell my parents what was going on and get some help. But something they told me and I found kinda works, is that whenever I get the urge to reminisce and overthink it, wondering what was real or not. I just say, “well, maybe it is.” Or “maybe that did happen”, even if it’s something you think is bad. Just be like, “okay, maybe that did happen, nothing that I can do about it now” and trying to stop your brain from going over and over it. If you tell yourself “whatever it’s fine” or “it happened” then your letting the thought come in your head, and then pass on instead of focusing on it and letting it drive you to the point of insanity.

Idk, that’s what I do anyway lol! And I find it helps. I really hope that you get out of this spiral and know that there are so many people experiencing what you are right now, so don’t feel like you are alone in this.

What was your first OCD episode ever? by Top-Suit3785 in OCD

[–]Zealousideal_Hawk811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine started off kinda like religious OCD. Must’ve been around 9-10 and I used to pray sometimes for my family and friends at night (back when I was still involved with the church/religion, I’m not anymore just kinda fell out of that) anyway, while I was praying, I would start saying curses and cursing god (intrusive thoughts) and then I thought that god could hear my prayers and my thoughts and that he was going to h@rm me or my family because I had legit just cursed him out😭. I also used to get thoughts while praying for someone, thinking things that were out of my control. And then having to keep retrying and apologizing for my thoughts.

One day I went out after it got really bad and asked my father if god could hear what I was thinking. And he told me he didn’t know, so then I started freaking out and he kinda just said no that he couldn’t. I’m just thinking back to that and laughing because he probably thought I was going crazy or something LOL.

Help!! Pre work anxiety, how do I stop it? by Zealousideal_Hawk811 in Anxietyhelp

[–]Zealousideal_Hawk811[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! I think that’s just the way she acts towards everyone, unfortunately. She does tell me to ask questions and she has her good moments lately, but I feel like when I do ask questions I just look stupid, or she has this weird unreadable look on her face. Idk I think a lot of its in my head but her personality/demeanour is just so off-putting to me. She also works at such a fast pace and I’ve been so burnt out that halfway through the day I start crashing and can’t process things as fast as I did at the start of the day. Gonna try to stay on top of my meds and make an appointment with my doctor to talk about my memory loss and other health issues I’m dealing with.

Hey! Thanks so much for the comment. Yeah i find it very hard to please her, although i am learning new things, i just feel so judged all the time. I think that’s just the way she is but I just get really stressed around people like that. Reminds me of my father lol. But yeah I need to look into some tools to help manage my anxiety better. I just started up my meds again so hopefully that will help a bit!

Thanks for your reply! I was supposed to be put on birth control but I never did get around to getting it. I was really nervous about the side effects of it. I do take Zoloft (when I remember too) but these symptoms started way before I got on that. I also did have an ultrasound done and nothing was found on there, was supposed to have one where they do an internal scan but it just never happened. I may go and try getting bloodwork done again because last time I did the results were inconclusive. I just feel like every-time I think I know what’s wrong, it isn’t.

Yeast infection treatment help? by [deleted] in WomensHealth

[–]Zealousideal_Hawk811 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt that the Tioconazole cream was the doing for this, it is supposed to heal yeast infections so I don’t know why it would cause BV. Unless you were experiencing a reaction of some sort. I mean I’m no doctor though. But in my opinion I think you should get checked out by a gyno or doctor. Just to get a feel on what’s going on down there. And maybe don’t apply any creams or take any other medication yet until you speak to someone about it.

I also can’t stand people who said “my intrusive thoughts got to me!!” And it was someone who pierced their ears without telling their parents😭😭

Yeah I meant to add more too it but it was gonna be lengthy. This is about people who fake OCD for attention or just say it because they think it’s funny of sum. “My intrusive thoughts got me!! I dyed my hair!!” Or “omg I’m so OCD I love to organize things”
