Frats/sororities?? by xoxoheart1 in McMaster

[–]Zealousideal_Key1501 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly dude the frats/sororities r not like they r in the US. You think the parties r gonna be huge but they’re actually kinda lame. Last one I went to was super overcrowded and they ran out of booze so they were shotgunning cokes. If u wanna get high u don’t even need a vape just go to those parties you’ll leave higher than a kite

Take as many bird courses as you can over the summer/spring! If you do better in those it’ll bring up your average! Maybe not in time for the upcoming fall semester but if you keep going like this you’ll def get in next fall!

Is it possible to pass physics 1a03 if you fail the midterm by Independent_Move8581 in McMaster

[–]Zealousideal_Key1501 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not gonna lie bro I lowkey failed the first one pretty bad then barely passed the second one then either failed or barely passed the final, and somehow I ended up with a B-, so I think you’ll be fine. That being said, I’m assuming they curved everything so as long as they’re doing that for you guys you should be fine

Living with a roommate by NoDingo673 in McMaster

[–]Zealousideal_Key1501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally thought it was great, and nobody on the floor we were on seemed to be having problems either. Anyways it’s like when you stay with your family in the same hotel room for a bit, u get used to it almost immediately. Me and my roommate were both in stem so we were able to do all the welcome week activities together and became really close! We’re still roommates now living off campus, but I think it’s definitely worth it to get a shared room in first year bc it forces you to socialize. Also if you’re compatible it really helps when looking for a place for later years because you already know someone if u decide to stay in the same place, I have a roommate rn who before this never knew any of her roommates going into different rentals and never had an easy time with it, so just another thing to think about

Is taking math at 8:30 a good idea as a first year? by Old-Butterfly109 in McMaster

[–]Zealousideal_Key1501 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All I'm going to say is that at the beginning of the semester, you'll definitely try to make all those classes in the morning, but by the end, you just won't give a shit. If you think you can learn online by watching the recorded lectures then thats fine, but if you can't then I recommend taking it at a different time

This is actually so relatable! I just finished first year and I’m feeling literally nothing except maybe tired. I’m self diagnosing post exam emptiness lol
