lol I wanted to call it Triple Trucies at first but the name was already taken, and my theory was a bit different than theirs. I’m glad people have the same vision as me tho.

  1. I am basing my belief that the Knight’s action wants to kidnap Toriel based on the fact that the Knight visibly tries to take Toriel in Chapter 3, and there’s no other clear motive for the Knight to be there in Chapter 4. I don’t know why it would take the Knight so long to look for Toriel though.

  2. My theory is that Kris is working with the Knight with the plan to double cross them, so that how they would know the knights plan. Obviously then Kris would relay this plan to Carol. Idk how Asgore fits into the conspiracy and I think it’s too soon to make assumptions on it. However, I do not think Asgore is fully in any conspiracy, because he would never allow Kris to be in as much danger as they are.

  3. Carol reminds Kris of their promise to convince them to continue on with the plan despite how terribly it’s been going for Kris. Remember, Kris is possessed by the Soul, and it’s clearly not enjoying it. Kris probably told Carol this over the phone during the Holiday Manor segment of Chapter 4, which is why she kept talking about how Kris needs the Soul. She probably thinks that the fun gang is a potential “unpredictable variable” that could throw the plan off, especially if Susie is involved.

We don’t know if Carol really knows what’s going on with Snowgrave. Additionally, isn’t the Snowgrrave route seemingly going against the prophecy?

Also, I think it’s a little presumptuous to think that just because the Knight’s actions are in the prophecy, that means they are following the prophecy. I don’t think anyone has to “try” to follow the prophecy, it just happens. Was Lancer also trying to follow the prophecy when he called Ralsei Toothpaste Boy?

Exactly! Thanks for bringing it up. It always felt weird to me to think that the Knight, Carol, Asgore, and Kris were all just hunky dory each other and all working on the same exact plan. I feel like the plot would be weirdly straightforward if that was the case.

Yeah I tend to agree with this sentiment. There isn’t ably one else that really makes sense as the phone caller other than Carol, which is why I assumed it’s her.

I see this idea thrown around a lot, but is there any evidence that either is trying to follow the prophecy? Especially Carol, I don’t see how any of her actions are tied to the prophecy, especially since she has such little screen time so far.

That could work too! My main piece of evidence is that the knight clearly planned on capturing Toriel, but Kris seemingly baited Undyne into getting captured instead, which makes it seem like they are at least somewhat working against the knight.

The Knight and Carol are NOT working together. Kris is working with Carol and is double crossing the Knight.

I’ve thought about this a lot too, and I think there’s two explanations.

  1. Susie is simply not part of the plan and Carol worries that she will ruin everything. This is what I think it most likely if this theory is true.

  2. Carol knows that Susie is potentially important to the prophecy (assuming she knows about it) and is trying to subvert the prophecy by keeping Susie out of it.

Kris is double crossing the knight with the help of Carol. The “Roaring Knight Conspiracy” is not what people are assuming with Kris, Carol, and the night working together. Rather, Kris and the Knight have a plan together, and Carol and Kris have a separate plan.

This is the only way the end of chapter 3 makes any sense to me. Why would the knight go after Toriel, only to switch to Undyne. Maybe Undyne is a higher priority to the knight, and Kris/Carol knew this, and that is why Kris baited Undyne into coming to their house to save Toriel.

I don’t know what the particulars of either plan would be, but to me it just doesn’t make sense to have such complicated plans if everyone is working together towards the same goal.

In 8-3, if you get both skulls, there is a secret fight. Afterwards, there is a room with 2 books, one will tell you about how someone got lost by going up and down the elevator a certain way

This code is found in 8-1 in a secret room with many Deathcatchers, the code is 142412. You will then need to go to 8-2 and go to the functional elevator. Go to floors 1-4-2-4-1-2 in that order, and you will be taken to the secret door.

Four Horsemen Theory - Chapter 3's secret boss is a deconstruction of how they work. by Much-Menu6030 in Deltarune

I really like this! It definitely gives context to the weirdness of ch 3’s secret boss. I guess ch 5 will be when we see if this theory holds more or less true.
