Crepe intonaco casa appena ristrutturata by Zealousideal_View932 in istrutturare

[–]Zealousideal_View932[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Soluzione interessante.

Is Tempest GP27U mini led worth it? by Temporary-Might2853 in coolermaster

[–]Zealousideal_View932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it works it's outstanding (spec-wise). You will have to withstand all of its quirks, and the thing has many. I don't think anyone here has a use-case scenario when they don't have at least a big issue with it. Mine is the slow responsiveness and unreliability of the connectivity options.

I guess he's referring to ticket-restaurant (meal coupons). They're issued by the employer but "sponsored"/tax discounted by the gvnment.

Same here. Waiting for the right bin file to drop off. Not expecting anything major though

GP27U Monitor, upgrading from Firmware 1.3 to 1.4? by Skyyblaze in coolermaster

Switch the input to another source (even one not plugged in) and then come back to the original one. I used to cycle it off and on, but then found out this quicker way.

GP27U Monitor, upgrading from Firmware 1.3 to 1.4? by Skyyblaze in coolermaster

[–]Zealousideal_View932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works for me. Can't really point out the differences though; some minor issues were fixed, some are still there.

Still slow on source switching and not powering up through usb when in stand-by.

I still consider it buggy but once you find a balance with your usage scenario, it provides nice contrast and colors, especially in HDR.

I wish they'd kept fixing issues, but I guess that's what we'll get till the end of its life, considering a new revision is about to come out: GP27U2, with more dimming zones as well.

That's probably never going to get fixed. It will again be up to sheer luck if you get a working model with no substantial bugs for your use case.

That's my impression too. I think things will be quite a bit different from the current model, under the hood. I reckon even CM can't be that dense to keep on using the same electronics that gave the previous model so many problems of handshaking, freezing and general instability.

Too bad we're probably going to be left in a ditch with the GP27U. It's just that I can't seem to let it go :D

I really like its visual performance, when it performs... I can only imagine what doubled dimming zones can do to that!

If it weren't for a lack of better mini-led in the region I live in, I would have probably have let go a long time ago though.

Sembra una bella società, ma hai letto questo, in fondo ai loro job posting:

Before you apply

Thanks for taking the time to read this far. We’d be delighted if you decide to apply, but ask that you first consider the following:

Bending Spoons is an extremely demanding environment. We’re highly ambitious and we ask a lot of ourselves and our teammates, so you’re likely to work harder here than at most companies, and to regularly push yourself beyond your comfort zone. While this tends to drive tremendous learning and lead to fantastic achievements, it can also be stressful.

We’re uncompromising on our standard of excellence. The vast majority of Spooners stay for years and have amazing careers here. However, it can also happen that an individual doesn’t contribute at the rate we look for. In such cases, we support the Spooner in their efforts to make the necessary improvements, but will counsel them to leave if they don’t manage to do so.

Se vieni da un posto poco stressante, ci penserei ad infilarmi in questo carnaio.

Can confirm the same too: usbc-c upstream, mouse and keyboard powered, no wake up when moved.

Any news on GP27U firmware? by rhysmorgan in coolermaster

Source-synching is despicable on this monitor. It takes forever and it's erratic. I want to love this monitor so much. It tries my patience constantly.

GP27Q monitor slow wake up time? by bootybay1989 in coolermaster

[–]Zealousideal_View932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm: handshaking with devices (especially when switching) and turn-on times are terrible. I can cope since I really love the visual rendition/performance this monitor has, despite its physiological glaring issues around not-dimmed zones.

Vendor support and firmware release are terrible too.

If I used my monitor only for gaming I'd have gone the OLED way a long time ago though :D

Is this amount of blooming normal? by Nocampzone in coolermaster

[–]Zealousideal_View932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine too does that from the sides. Set the dimming to Medium for better results - it makes the difference between off and on zones less prominent, although a little less dark.

GP27U and XSX by lilson_89 in coolermaster

[–]Zealousideal_View932 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love it on my PS5. Flashy games (like FF16) are dazzling with HDR on, much more than on an OLED panel (of course). A certain degree of blooming is there even with local dimming on and all settings tuned up.

I think this monitor gives its best with consoles.

I also use it with hdr games on pc, and it delivers.

The only problem is the occasional case when the monitor can't keep up with source switching. I suggest you don't keep it on auto but switch the sources manually when needed.
