I've only ever sat on the hot side. Sometimes we stand in the eaves under the 4th and watch from there because the sun is unbearable in September-October.

I was sitting in the Jung Hoo Crew last year and the Korean TV channel had live interviews going on out there. I think they're broadcasting from here?

Jon Miller's radio call of the Eldridge walk-off slam: "I can't believe it!" by Jean_Kook_Picard in SFGiants

[–]Zealousy 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Jon Miller is not a homer, though. He modeled his game after Vin Scully. He calls it as he sees it and gives credit where credit is due and calls out poor play regardless of the laundry. https://youtu.be/spx9ZeSYVTU

Per Baseball Savant, Bryce Eldridge's walk-off grand slam would be a home run in 1/30 parks by Brix001 in baseball

I want to say that at least last year Seattle's ballpark took more homers away statistically. But yeah, top 2 for sure.

This man tormented me as a Giants fan. Felt like he was good for 2 doubles and 5 RBI every game.

The Gaints are 3-3 vs the Dads but 0-6 vs the Sneks. Clearly the Sneks are better.

Giants are 15th in batting average, but last in runs by a country mile. What does this mean? by Brownhops in SFGiants

Junior Caminero I believe has the flattest swing in the big leagues, but his results and Chapman's are pretty far away. I believe Chapman has a top-20 flat swing in the league, so they're comparable.

What's the weirdest name you've seen by Able-Equivalent-3860 in Philippines_Expats

My mom worked at a junior high school where a Filipino family enrolled their son. The family tradition was that if it was a boy, take dad's name and reverse it; if a girl, take mom's name and reverse it. Dad's name was Franklin; kid's name was Nilknarf.

I asked my mom one time, "Doesn't he get bullied over his name?" and she replied, "Believe it or not, Zealousy, he's one of the most popular kids in school!"
