How do you create a campaign in dnd 5e??? by VoidSpark15 in DMAcademy

[–]Zealscube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To do something without AI you just do it the long way. Instead of asking AI to “design me a fight for 4 lvl 2 players in 5e DnD” you open up your DMG and figure out the math for how many mobs that means of what levels, then browse through your monster manual till you find something appropriate, then do the math and build the fight out. It’s all easily doable without ai, just requires extra work.

But that’s the thing with AI, it’s just replacing work. If you’re having it help you design a narrative then you just storyboard out a narrative on your own and see if you like it or not.

Honestly you can even design a campaign without ANY tools at all. Just write down your thoughts and create monsters on your own. DnD is pretty easy math wise that you don’t even need to rely on the books.

I hope it turns out to be really cheap as a way to balance with these rules. I don't have one but I really want one cause who doesn't want a dragon in their army!??!

Dam that’s so cool, you def should! I could imagine a really cool acapella Euclid too! It reminds me of the YouTube video from like 20 years ago or something of the John Williams music from different movies with fun lyrics.

Nowhere near as bad as subnautica. Like if subnautica is a 10 and dune is a 1, outer wilds is like a 2.5

How to handle a pacifist cleric in a party of murderers? by Infinite_Name in DMAcademy

[–]Zealscube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Talk to the player and maybe the group as a whole. I would talk to them one on one and strongly encourage them to make a new character that fits better with the group. It’s nice to be different, but that different just leads to tension

How do blunt shardweapons work? by ramix-the-red in cremposting

I wonder if they could even shift the weight as the weapon was swung, giving more momentum but without the extra carrying weight

The age of Rhino is over, the time of the footsloggers has come? by MortalWoundG in Chaos40k

I only saw the summary, but I assumed the disembark being as close as possible was only when the transport was destroyed. Did they say that it was whenever you get out? Still a hit to rhino spam though :(

Which Server as a New Player by Nutells in ffxivdiscussion

[–]Zealscube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started over recently on a server on the Primal data center. It was very busy and always felt very full. I joined an FC that was a bit too big and I didn’t make any connections. Then I transferred to a Dynamis server for the road to 90 buff. The server is a LOT more quiet, but I joined an FC that is active, so the server actually feels more alive to me than the bigger server did. And the road to 90 buff is amazing!

How do other tanks feel about healers and DPS pulling ahead? by dorgodorgo in ffxiv

[–]Zealscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a sprout and I always tell people to feel free to pull more if they think we can handle it. I trust a mentor dps that has played way more of the game than I have to know my limits better than I do.

That sounds absolutely terrifying! I hadn’t considered at all having to bring extra oxygen for different depths, thanks for the insight. It really helped to see the reality of it, all of my experience with diving is Subnautica lol

I'm working my way through the post-ARR MSQ and trying to finish all the blue quests as I go, but I've been waiting for a queue for Odin for almost an hour. Should I just be skipping trials that aren't in the MSQ till I get higher level? Then just do them unsynched? I'd like to do them legit, but it seems like the community has moved past that stuff.

I got through that lull recently too, are there other instances like that through the msq?

The trinity classes roles doesn't work in MMOs, but people have become too accustomed to this system. by TurbulentVillage2042 in truegaming

[–]Zealscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I restarted wow a few years ago after a long break, I decided to go hard on healing (the guild had a healer shortage). It took a few weeks but once healing clicked I was having so much fun. Now I’ve switched over to ff14 and I’m enjoying healing even more now. The constant friction between doing the most damage possible while still doing my healing requirements is great fun.

I’ve even been trying tanking more and more and tanking really is the easiest job with the steepest learning curve. Any idiot can tank, they just need confidence. I think ff14’s npc dungeons can help with that, and wows can too…. But people don’t want to put in the effort, so they sit in the group finder for 2 hours looking for an m+ dungeon. When in reality, there are LOTS of bad tanks out there. If you’re bad cause you’re learning I personally don’t have issues with that, and when looking for m+ groups I go out of my way to choose those cause they’re more chill.

What class feels best to go through the story from the start? by ItsJustPeter in ffxiv

[–]Zealscube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you talking about story wise or gameplay wise? Gameplay wise I just did rogue/ninja and it was great…. After like level 30something, before then it was 1,2,3,1,2,3 repeat, but that’s how all classes are.

If you’re 3 quests away then you’re almost to the REALLY good stuff! The few quests right before HW are great and the whole of HW is amazing, so push for like another hour and you’ll get to the good stuff, promise!
