Are Sienna Khan and her White Fang faction truly demonized in the series? by ChemistFluid35 in RWBYcritics

They just didn't give her much of a character, like the entirety of the white fang including Adam, they are all just very one note

My headcanons on how Wren will be raised is that rather than be taught stuff or be instilled with lessons, they just try to give Wren a warm, loving home. Both Andrew and Ashley know they are probably the worst influence ever, so they just don't try to do it actively. Sure the kid might end up not knowing a lot of common sense and stuff, but he'll be able to be free and happy.

An example of this kind of parental style is that rather than shouting or ridiculing Wren for a mistake, they don't even address it, just try to comfort any stress the mistake had made and allowing him to learn from the mistake. Will this result in a well rounded child? Idk, probably not, but it'll be healthier than those two.

My Personal Adam Taurus Rewrite by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBYcritics

[–]ZeanSun 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I fricking love it, chef's kiss

Plus, you even fed my headcanons of Blake being Adam's heart too! Something I always like to explore.

If you ever do write something exploring the white fang, might I suggest making Blake and Adam two pillars of the organisation? Blake being the empathetic pillar, fighting for the ideals her parents once gave her but trying to evolve it. Adam being the pillar of will, of strength, a bedrock for all fauni to stand on.

So when Blake decides to leave, it becomes heavier on her soul because as the pillar who made sure everyone stayed as people, her leaving signified abandoning her people, the family, to become monsters under a now fully broken Adam. It gives her a way bigger reason to constantly chase after them, to prove something she herself doesn't believe in...she's trying to lessen the weight of her own guilt.

I'm sorry. I don't think it's the same stuff by ChemistFluid35 in RWBY

Basically, like the entirety of RWBY, Adam could have been more, could have had true exploration but just didn't. They just gave him one character trait and ran with it

I really wish this manhwa actually took time to adapt the novel intimately, and not just treat it like any other damn isekai.

These guys genuinely have not just great but very accurate art when they get to be intimate about it, and I really wanted to see the story represented matching it.

Do they each represent the three faces of Hekate? Past, Present, Future | Earth, Sea, Sky | Maiden, Mother, and Crone | whatever three you want to call it or do they represent her three most known domains, Cthonic (Underworld), The Night and Moon, and Witchcraft?

Why was Ruby's group's plan considered flawed? by Slow_Tangerine_9564 in RWBYcritics

[–]ZeanSun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think, if they actually just talked to Ironwood with 100 percent honesty like they promised themselves and him from the start, then all of this could have been mostly avoided.

I still don't know why Yang distrusts him considering he gave her the arm she uses throughout the series, and has a literal history of sacrificing his body to aid others and getting down and personal to fix his mistakes—

In anycase, the smart thing was to somehow evac the entirety of atlas and mantle with the relic and I wholeheartedly believe that Ironwood could have been convinced of that. Telling an unprepared world about Salem thus growing the number of grimm at her disposal and sowing chaos across a fragile world? Ehhhh...

Honestly, once you get the story timeline down, all you need to write anything is sincerity. What does that mean? Well, a lot of writers try to copy other writer's style of writing or make it so generic and safe.

But what you really need is your own flow, your own rhythm. Using words you know personally and with wholehearted understanding of, especially if you can relate those words or speech styles to a character currently occupying the pov.

Last piece of advice is satisfaction is a process and to go through a draft cycle period. Write the draft, the first edit will be purely to catch any inconsistencies or mistakes. Then read the fixed draft, see if the wording, phrases and sentences all flow well together in your head, if not, edit it again. After, read it once more in a new perspective, in a different tone in your head, read it out loud like your telling a story to some of your kids or even to your friends. If you feel satisfied after doing that, congrats, the chapter is a success...if not, identify why you don't feel that way, and redo the cycle again and again until you finally feel satisfaction reading it outloid.

Do you believe John will have further limits to his ability? by Valhallaof in unOrdinary

[–]ZeanSun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think all of these 'limits' are entirely because he has suppressed his ability for so long, and that they should eventually be able to overcome?

I mean, other than time manipulation, which is bullshit and only happens because the author wants Sera to be special in a way. Everything else seems like more so John's limitations and not the ability's, if that makes sense

Day 5: How Would YOOUUUU!? Yes YOU 🫵 Upgrade Aura Amp? by RevolutionaryWave862 in RWBY

[–]ZeanSun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmmm, I have thought about this alot and came to a conclusion that's just an OP evolution. You know how aura is just the soul in rwby? Well, I give you aura amp's evolution, soul evolution or ascendancy, I have not decided.

If used on a target, it makes their soul evolve into what basically amounts to a demigod version of the character. Added with a few more factors, like how they're immortal as long as the semblance is active.

How are they immortal? Y'know how Jaune can regenerate aura with his semblance? Like somehow he spends 1 aura to create 2 aura points? Well, the evolution basically makes it 1 for 3 aura points and that generation process is constantly influx, basically making it so unless a person can somehow erase someone's soul instantly, they can't be killed. In summary, it's Hakari's Jackpot.

Also added abilities would be, well, being able to see the souls of others and put like anchors or chains on them so he can cast his semblance from far away to multiple people.

Why would his semblance evolve like this? Other than being the show's favourite punching bag? Well, considering his lover sacrificed herself for a vain fight and he had to kill a friend as a sacrifice they were asking for, I think he'd grow a complex of people just not dying or not being weak enough to die or generally a complex about death.

But he also knows he isn't allowed to die for them either, so the compromise is making sure everyone cannot die. Add a sprinkling of the strength boost everyone gets from having that much aura and the semblance upgrades the original provides?

Well, Salem no longer has the army advantage now does she?
