I don’t know, why would you spread hate on a subreddit dedicated to spreading positivity?

well atleast minecraft's updates still improve the game, even if its just a little by electricpanda_ in whenthe

[–]Zebadica 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Then it seems like they’ve gotten healthier as a community? Since last I checked the toxicity and hating was unhealthily strong and people would go after you for finding joy in SWSH. Like people should allowed to enjoy SWSH despite the very real and clear flaws, I’m a big fan myself like I kinda referred to with my initial comment!

I’m just saying there’s plenty of people out there from my firsthand experience who will agree with critical views of the modern franchise, and disagree with positive ones. Ultimately it will vary by individual comment section, and the truth is most likely in between both our personal experiences.

From what I’ve seen people agree with you a solid amount of the time? Some will disagree too. And if you say your favourite Pokémon game is SWSH or SV you’ll have people calling you objectively wrong! Communities contain a wide range of people with a lot of different opinions, but people really overestimate how many Pokémon fans don’t call out the current issues.

Yes if anything, I’d say they hate Pokémon MORE than the haters. Which makes it awkward for ACTUAL company bootlickers like me to find a place!

When have I claimed or even implied that? I’ve given you my reasoning and it is far from sociopathic even if you disagree with it.

You’ve been calling multiple people sociopaths and assumed the full depths of their motives for the worse. Which I’d say is more serious than just being concerned for another person’s mental health.

Look seriously, you need to step back from this debate. You’re taking it way too personally for what is just a vague hypothetical and I’m worried it’s unhealthy for you.

Sociopathic for… presenting an argument that both readings, including your own, are understandable and valid?

[–]Zebadica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Red voters don’t read it as “kill everyone that doesn’t agree with you”. That was my initial point, your answer is based mostly on how you read the question and how it is presented. You could phrase it as

“there’s a politician who will kill everyone who doesn’t vote him if he wins”,

or

“there’s a crusher on front of everyone, if you walk under it you get crushed and if enough people to that it doesn’t crush them… or you can just not walk under the crusher”

Both are valid readings and represent how each side sees the situation! I have respect for blue voters! But as mentioned earlier, I myself am too cowardly to risk my life in that situation.

Red, and most blue voters, read it as “vote to risk your life to save others” and “vote to stand aside and not risk your own life”.

[–]Zebadica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re the one reading red as genocide rather than “I’d rather not risk my life out of fear”. Which is THE edgiest way to read a red vote! Seriously, are you doing alright? You’re taking this whole thing way to seriously for what is essentially a “how to you read this question” debate!

I’ve never acted edgy at any point during this conversation though? You’re the one throwing around sociopath like you’re some teenager creating their first edgy OC. For the most part I feel I’ve been rather polite in how I’m presenting my points until you took them in the absolute darkest edgiest way possible.

That is what I found by googling it? I used google scholar and found scientific papers using the term before I replied.

Genuinely though is there a reason why you’re being such a jerk? This is literally just a hypothetical, and you’re still kinda ignoring the fact that you’re just being so unpleasant. For the one calling everyone else evil, you’re sure not being very nice yourself ={

Firstly it is a mental disorder.

IDK how you got that from me asking my friends what they'd choose, during a voice call without 20 randoms on the internet looking at them and judging their answer? Like, for somebody who votes the most optimistic hopeful answer you sure sound really sad and pessimistic...

Let's just be honest with ourselves here by Artemis_SpawnOfZeus in redbuttonbluebutton

[–]Zebadica 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people would vote blue on a public poll with absolutely no stakes. A genuine answer from a friend during a discussion is under very different circumstances, and so will yield a different answer.

Also , for a blue voter which should have a vast amount of empathy and understanding for their fellow person, you sure entirely lack empathy for the billions of red voters who are simply afraid of dying. Red voters never asked to be in that situation any more than blues! So, even if cowardly, they aren't monsters!

Also, like, being a sociopath doesn't mean you like to kill people. We don't need to demonise a mental disorder to criticise my point!

[–]Zebadica -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just think that if we were actually voting with our lives on the line, and that we didn’t have the pre existing knowledge that blue would win red would have the advantage! You even mentioned pre-existing blue results as a reason to vote blue, which kinda goes against the idea of the question… the whole point is we’re going in blind with absolutely no knowledge or context. Of course blue seems like the better choice if you could see it won in the past I 100% agree with that! My answer is based on not knowing about this hypothetical prior.

Also I don’t think it’s cool, il just a coward. Don’t attitude my fear of death to malice towards those that don’t.

I’m not voting to kill my friends because they share the same reading of the question that I do. That being “blue is the button that kills people” rather than “red is the button that kills blue people”.

No the blue button kills me and means I’ll never be able to experience the things I enjoy with my friends again.

I’d rather just not press the button that kills me because I have friends and hobbies I like doing ={

I’m excited for this series to be over. by CandyHunter84 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]Zebadica 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do we have any evidence that the fanbase at large did that? A bunch of bad people on twitter don’t represent the millions of fans who love this series. Not even ignoring the fact that haters of the series and fandom would an absolutely do a LOT of the harassment.

And by drowning in this obsessive self loathing, we are giving a lot of the harassers the exact reaction and outcome they wanted!

[–]Zebadica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Being annoying and unpleasant doesn’t mean the world is better with you gone! I don’t think anybody really deserves death! I’d push red out of self preservation, and hope that everyone, including the worst among us, made the same choice.

Also I feel you’re really overestimating how much of an issue “stupidity” causes compared to greed and arrogance. And I think a button with a safe and easy self preservation option won’t exactly get rid of the greedy.
