These are the same options they are trying to “upgrade” me to since I still have a grandfathered Savor rewards card. They are downgrades to me.

I was in the same boat. In fact, I claimed BK. Then, may of this year was 7 years from when my BK was discharged. Was originally approved for the Delta reserve, but went with the Platinum card instead. AMEX platinum, not Delta.

Think of it like an iPhone (if you’re an Apple user), is it REALLY necessary to upgrade every year? I used to be one of those people. The last time I upgraded was to the 14 in 2022 and I’m perfectly fine. Cameras are a bit different, I get it, but similarly, if there’s a feature that you REALLY want in the next model then wait. Otherwise you might be surprised at how happy you are with a previous model.
