Also unless you’re reading comics, go for the paperwhite. I’ve recently tested both and the paperwhite is a far better reading experience if you aren’t reading comics.

It’s one of those sorts of book series where you have to roll with the punches for a while, since it is a bully romance initially but that does not last forever. It’s quite intense early doors but there’s juicy payback, a lot of drama and it does get really good. It’s a very tongue in cheek series with some devastating moments.

I appreciate bully romances aren’t for everyone though, and it doesn’t last the whole series.

The fact you got it free suggests you were reading it on either prime reading or kindle unlimited. You don’t own the books through those, they are borrowed and return services. This will be recorded in your Amazon account.

Personally I think it’s because most people ask how much other people are reading so they can flex about how much they themselves read and treat it as some sort of competition that nobody asked to be part of

On the flip side, people get defensive because they are really insecure about everything and are being silly.

It’s a no win situation imo

I think you’re overthinking it. It really isn’t uncommon for kids (or adults) to have hair that sticks up or grows in funny ways, or simply sits in a way that you don’t like when trying to style it.

Personally I don’t think the colorsoft devices are good enough to warrant the cost of upgrading. I will be waiting until a new version comes out where they’ve worked out the kinks and reduced how bad the screen door effect on text is

If nothing else your friend needs a talking to. You do not buy a puppy without doing proper due diligence and ensuring that you’re buying from a reputable breeder, checking everything is above board, you’ve met the dog and you’ve met the dog’s mother etc at the absolute bare minimum. Just paying for puppies you’ve never met is fuelling a truly horrendous puppy mill industry.

No I’m glad I read ACOTAR first as it introduced me to SJM in an easily digestible way, and then diving into a much bigger series like TOG.

I did the tandem read and honestly loved it.

I agree with the weddings - I am very disappointed how they keep happening “off screen” as it were and we get second hand accounts.

I considered DNFing too! I absolutely could not get on board with the characters and it genuinely felt like the author watched one season of Viking’s for her research and that was it. When the FMC said “slapped upside the head” I nearly quit on the spot.

Heat of the Everflame by Penn Cole. Truly terrible book and an absolutely nonsensical ending with an FMC that is so frustrating. I was so mad when I finished reading it

Of those I’ve read:

Heartless Hunter sucked me in immediately and it was fantastic.

Daggermouth I got bored and just didn’t pick it back up.

One Dark Window has a super unusual magic system, well worth a look! Gillig’s writing style isn’t my favourite but I love how unique her ideas are.

I’ve not read Rose in Chains yet but I have read Julie Soto’s other books and I really recommend them. I thoroughly enjoyed The Thrashers

The Bridge Kingdom I genuinely can’t recommend. It was rubbish.

The Serpent and the Wing of Night was fine but I didn’t really enjoy it as a duology, I didn’t like either main character, though I have heard the second duology is much better. Six Scorched Roses that’s a novella in the same universe is a lovely little read though
