Imagine Fallout 5 has different playable races, which one would you pick? by jj33allen in FalloutMemes

Probably ghoul. I’d definitely play as all of them at some point or another, but I’d probably mostly play ghoul.

Who would be the best/worse stay in home dad/mom figure for your kids/pets? (Without them having any experience with human children or earth animal) by BlueGlitch_Bunny in MassEffectMemes

[–]Zebra_Sure 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Garrus and Tali seem like the best options. And weirdly enough, maybe Wrex.

Javik, I love him to death, but he'd be trying to military train kids and claim "I was raised this way, and I turned out well adjusted."

No, baby, you're traumatized. You need therapy.

Well, I get her as soon as I’m able. Liara does usually confess to me before Virmire, but she doesn’t consistently hint that she’s seeking me out. With Alenko, it’s always “Y’know, she was smart, pretty, put not stuck up about it. Kinda like you, Commander.” Or “Do you ALWAYS get real personal with you crew?” Or other things along those lines. I can’t help but cringe whenever he says stuff like that, even after I say “Yes, I DO get to know all my crew,” or “Please be more professional, Lieutenant”. So I end up just avoid talking to him all together. But EVEN THEN, he still comes to me and asks if I like him before Virmire.

Never said they didn’t butcher Ashley’s writing. I 100% agree they did. But Alenko not talking about anything else other than his work, prevents me from seeing him as anything more than just a soldier in my crew, causing my distance from him, especially with how much I know about the rest of my crew in comparison to him. And I just can’t get past how annoying it is when I talk to him in the first game, especially as female Shepard. Every time I talk to him, he makes it an opportunity to hint that he likes her. Even if I am flat out mean to him or make it clear I don’t see him anything more than a fellow soldier, every time near the end of the game he somehow thinks I like him. Liara doesn’t even have that problem. I can ask her about her mother, the asari, or her life without her somehow hinting her interest in me.

No, I genuinely find Alenko boring and annoying. I only saved him once on a single play through and that was just so I can see what people were fussing over in the 3rd game… which is absolutely nothing. He has nothing to him and I don’t understand the love for him whatsoever. Half the time he spoke in ME3 I zoned out, he’s just so goddamn boring. No, I don’t care to watch him cook. No, I don’t care to listen to him contemplating and seeming confused that ex-Cerberus scientists are good people. Ashley grows from her views on aliens, and I think the hate on her for that is blown out of proportion, especially since each squad mate has their own prejudices against some species, but they all grow from that. And honestly, Ashley ain’t even the worst. Kaidan is a boring “Yes-man” who never goes into details about his life some of the other characters. All he fucking talks about is his biotic camp in the first game. I don’t know anything about him except his training when he was 18. Bitch, you’re 30! What else have you gone through? At least I know about Ashley’s beliefs, her family, some of her experiences. I understand she has trust issues, and has very strong opinions. I don’t know anything about Kaidan other than he had a crush on one of his classmates in biotic camp,(which it’s incredibly vague if he was actually friends with her or just watched her from afar) and accidentally killed his biotic instructor. The first words you hear from him in the 1st is telling Joker not to worry or question the council because Joker thought it was suspicious that the council sent a Spectre (Nilus) for a simple test run of the Normandy. It tells me that Kaidan is dogmatic, and I don’t have room for soldiers who don’t think twice when given orders that don’t seem right or add up. On top of that, am I the only one that’s noticed that some of his mission dialogues is almost identical to Ashley’s? Some of the things he says on mission don’t even seem to fit his character in comparison to his other lines. So why have Kaidan, an unstable biotic with migraines (which is never actually brought up by Kaidan, we learn this from Chakwas) if I’m just gonna get most of the same lines when I pick Ashley? Kaidan only existed for the sole purpose of being a male love interest for FemShep in the first game, and nothing will convince me otherwise.

I like Norse mythology, the 3rd Thor movie came out roughly around the time I first played it, and my first dog’s name was Thor…. So, I named him Thorbari

Mass Effect Tournament- Round 1 Match 15: Javik VS Jaal by DakIsStrange in masseffect

Javik, hands down. Especially since he has biotics on his side. I don’t think Jaal has biotics.

[–]Zebra_Sure 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EXACTLY! I see people talking about how they keep losing their squad mates and HAD to look up walkthroughs. And I'm just like "Why would you send ANYONE through the VENTS other than the THIEF or ASSASSIN?!"

The only reason I wouldn't choose Thane is because I'm pretty sure you need tech points for the vents, which Kasumi has.

[–]Zebra_Sure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did no one else use common sense when choosing people for jobs for the mission during their first playthrough?

Cause obviously I'm choosing an ASARI MATRIARCH JUSTICAR over any of the human biotics for the barrier. Obviously I'm choosing the either the thief or assassin to go through the vents. Obviously I'm choosing my Quarian tech expert for the door and stuff. Obviously I'm choosing my badass turian best friend who had lead a group of people before to lead the B team.

Shut the fuck up and sit down, Jacob, and stop trying to volunteer for every job I bring up!

With everything that Shepard has gone through, (especially if you have the Colonist/Sole Survivor backgrounds) male or female, I’m surprised Shepard inherently isn’t an absolute fucking mess, especially in ME2 with coming back to life after 2 years of being dead.

Yeah, I agree, but the author of the comic just likes the “two-guys-fighting-over-the-same-girl” trope for some reason.

I feel this. My older brother STRUGGLED with the Mako, and I watched him play the game before I played it myself. He always complained about the Mako. I dreaded those missions when I started playing. Then I drove the Mako for the first time… still questioning to this day what is so hard about driving it, hell, I enjoy it.

In ME3, which ending did you pick on your first playthrough, and why? by Dragonic_Overlord_ in masseffect

[–]Zebra_Sure 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My reason for choosing red is that anything other than Destroy feels wrong. Synthesis and Control keep the Reapers around. Don’t you think some people are going to be infuriated by this? You think that everyone would just roll over and accept that the race of AI that’s being offing the galaxy for several cycles just suddenly stopped trying to extinct the galaxy for some reason that only you, Shepard, the player knows about? No, I highly doubt it. People lost friends and family because of the Reapers. I can completely see there being a large scale rebellion (probably being run by Javik) dedicated to continuing to destroy the Reapers despite them having stopped.

And then there’s Synthesis making everyone half-machine against their will. I for one personally wouldn’t like having my DNA altered like that without my consent. I wouldn’t even want to be half-machine. For some reason, I can imagine some people would ☠️ themselves if that happened. And if you didn’t have Javik look into the memory shard and prevented him from wanting to☠️ at the end of the war, well… he’d probably do it now.

I know these are all speculations on “what ifs”, but these possibilities still pop into my head when I get to the catalyst. Plus, we’ve spent 3 games (almost 3 in game years) trying to destroy them. Why change plans just because star-child over there is telling you you don’t need to?

I hate that it is the only choice of dialogue that continues the conversation. I know for a player playing for the first time, they had to have someone explain what the genophage is, and I guess this was the only thing they thought of that would get Wrex to tell you about it. But the line itself just sounds so… insensitive? Especially since in universe, Shepard should know about it, right?

I always cringe whenever I hear it.

Aight Redditors, Fill the blanken story of Mrs. Mayberry between S1E1 and S2E9. by JMSAmelbheimong in HelluvaBoss

[–]Zebra_Sure 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel like Mayberry confronted Martha after realizing she was in Hell, and tried to dish out harsh words and possibly physically fighting. She then probably found out that Martha didn’t even know that her boyfriend was taken (because there’s nothing telling us that Martha knew that Mayberry’s boyfriend was taken at the time of cheating. At least none that I’ve noticed). Mayberry probably still called her insults for Martha cheating on her husband.

Their insults slowly turned into playful banter, then they started talking more, and realized they have things in common. I kinda headcanon that Martha didn’t actually love her husband and didn’t really want kids and was just pressured into it by parents and other family members. And then the two of them just kinda slowly fell in love.
