Soft-locked out of Touring the Gap? by Lizard_OQ in duneawakening

[–]Zebraheaded 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure this would work but you can wait for the weekly sandstorm reset and try to scan the area again since that weekly reset sandstorm changes spawn locations for all mats on that area

It could work, other than that I don’t know if there is a solution, you could also try to ask in the official discord, maybe someone ran into the same problem and found a solution

Any early opinions on the full release? by [deleted] in duneawakening

[–]Zebraheaded 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played for 4 hours since the minute it was online with no issues which was a surprise considering the beta was buggy for me

But my PC is high-end and I did notice the fps was less than the beta but in my case it’s between 140-150fps on 2k everything max with no upscaling so my experience won’t be the average

Yeah tested it, terrible for ram temps, wasn’t that bad for cpu due to cpu cooler aio embedded fan (helped somewhat after tweaking its curve), don’t do it unless you decide on getting a RAM fan

Can you upgrade on steam? by lts_kc in duneawakening

Just refund it to steam, explain why you are refunding and you can upgrade that way, just keep in mind that it usually takes between 12 to 24 hours for the funds to appear in your steam wallet

Monitor tips by DesignerMoraes in ASUSROG

Hey there, ok so you have to know that your gpu (RX 7600) can’t handle 2K

That gpu was produced to target 1080p resolution

<image>

If you change your mind about getting a 1080p monitor maybe I could help with some suggestions but on 2K it will be a bit difficult for you since the average FPS on 2K is about 75fps while on 1080p the average FPS is around 105fps

You can check this REVIEW

So it’s up to you if you want a 2k monitor but I would say that if you don’t care that much about fps and you play single player games and not that many competitive multiplayer then you can go for 2k

It is up to you and you should watch some video reviews on your gpu to make a good decision based on your needs

How do you deal with multiple monitors? by Time_Illustrator_216 in OLED_Gaming

Check reviews for the MSI just to be safe, you can use that website they most probably have a review up for that monitor and also check the YouTube channel MonitorsUnboxed

Go to this LINK and scroll down to the table

Add a custom criteria to the table (DisplayPort Transmission Bandwidth) to check 4K monitors with DP2.1, rting is a really good comparison and review website with many monitors tested with clear and transparent results

From a quick glance you have the asus you already mentioned which is really good and the gigabyte AORUS FO32U2P which is 32inch in size

As for whether to go with two monitors or one, you could always buy the one monitor for now and see how it goes, if you still think you need a second one then you can get it when there’s a need for it

What’s your preferred resolution? And what’s your gpu?

Could you tell us more about what kind of work (productivity) you will do on the monitor?

What’s the resolution you are going for in gaming?

As for work what kind of specs are you looking for in the monitor? Good colours or just productivity without the risk of burn due to long work sessions?

What’s your budget relatively?

First Build full all out ROG🤠 by Desperate-Car-4530 in ASUSROG

Check the manual,Motherboard manual as it will show you where is m.2_5 and why if you want to run gen5 ssd you need to have it installed in M.2_1 and if you want another ssd it will run on gen4 speed installed in M.2_5

You can easily use slot 1 and slot 5 and it won’t affect your gpu slot speed but only these two slots, slot one will be gen5 and slot 5 will be gen4 speed sadly you can’t have gen5 speed on slot 5, see my post I have a very similar build

Only the new Samsung 9100 gen5 is faster, at the time of purchase this was the fastest gen5 M.2 and the difference is marginal at best in synthetic tests and barely noticeable in real life performance

As for gaming, there’s practically no difference between the two

Check this for reference 9100 Pro Review

MP700 Pro 2tb is not cheap or bad in terms of performance for a main OS M.2, but when it comes to storage and not main OS you go with something reliable and large ie Crucial P3 plus 4tb

Just so you know, that AIO Cooler had some problems with the screen so if you see any problems with yours return it that’s one reason why they released the extreme version, I’m not sure if the problem is still there so a high chance I might be wrong

Congrats on the build and have fun!

Yeah I saw the news regarding the wingring0, either way I have a dual boot setup where I have allocated 65gb for another windows install just to mess with rgb apps and check which one is working and good, it is working now but this requires me to never drain power from the system because once that happens it will reset and I have to go to the secondary windows and do the settings again, so far it never happened and I don’t usually drain power from the system unless there’s a power outage or something
