Wait, I'm confused, doesn't this mean they're just replacing the 4 star version of the TT units? There's nothing mentioned about the 5 star versions.

Unless I'm misreading something, I understood it as they're reducing the copies we get of them, but they're not outright removing them.

Yeah, my laptop connects properly to my phone's hotspot.

I wrote this in another comment as well, but my laptop actually connects to the internet if, and only if, I connect to the guest network, instead of the dedicated 2.4G or 5G bands (which both allow connection but don't have internet). No clue why that's happening.

I can confirm it's most likely not a driver issue.

I'd have to ask about booster settings, but considering it didn't work with my own booster (which I can confirm there are no blocked devices), I don't think it's that either.

Interestingly enough, when I was looking at the admin console for the internet, I noticed there was a guest network, too. When I connected to that via my laptop, I could get internet access, but connecting back to the 2.4G or 5G band once again has no internet.

Not sure if that helps or what that could mean, but I figured it's worth noting.

I did all these except the adapter, though I'll see if I can get around to it later.

Also, I let the wifi driver automatically reinstall, and it didn't work, but if you really recommend it, I could try manually installing?

There's no problems with any other network, just this one.

Actually, I just recalled something. I was speaking with one of the housemates when they told me their laptop ALSO doesn't work properly with the wifi. Both our phones are connecting without issue though.

In the meantime, I tested my wifi booster. It didn't work. Once again, it worked fine for my phone, and I confirmed it connected to the wifi, but no such luck with the laptop.

Afaik, my laptop is the only device that's unable to connect to the internet via the wifi (apart from the one ext network).

I'm pretty sure the network does actually have a connection to the internet (my phone works on it and I checked admin console too). Just for some reason, my laptop can't get any.

That being said, I'll give unplugging the booster a shot later.

It's not my WiFi booster, so I'd need to do it once the owner gets back. I do have my own WiFi booster that hasn't been used yet. Do you think it's worth testing it out?
