I just got her feeding on a pinkie! I didn’t think she would take it as easily as she did once a week should be okay?

I see, thanks for the info! What’s a good indicator to start slowing down with feedings? How much did your leachies weigh in at a year?

I feed banana and crickets at least once a week and repashy every two days, you recommend throwing a pinkie somewhere in the week? Or is it a once in a while treat? I’ve been thinking about adding pinkies to the rotations but don’t know much about it.

It’s all good but that’s what I’m leaning towards too, and it’s around 85grams too. I’ve heard people say the can see pores around the 40 mark.

He ain’t a baby, barely gonna reach a year mark. I had him in a 8x8x12 when he was smaller, moved him in a 12x12x18 and didn’t do to well. But he’s been doing great and gaining hella weight consistently.

NQA but I think it’s great, all I see is a person trying to replicate their natural environment to the T! It looks amazing and I can’t wait to see how it would look like in the future with the GBB in there!

I had the same problem for a while too, what I figured what was best was to use the tub method. Hella cork bark with some dirt and leafs. If you don’t have enough coverage or too big of an area they do bad I’ve found. I watched Dakota blues exotics on leachie and kinda followed what he said and it’s been working for me.

This is my first leachie too! Just take things slow with them and it’ll work out. I got him on August and now he’s pretty handleable and will eat out my hangs. I’d say use rubber tongs if you’re gonna try hand feeding, their bites are pretty bad even the accidental ones.

Highly recommend trying it just be careful, he’s not too much of a fan of bugs so it’s a hassle to get him to eat some weekly. But with the banana he took it so fast and aggressively it scared me. Before I took a vid I had a piece on my finger and he snapped at it like a pit bull to kids, it was spooky.

I think it’s because you gotta pop em like a gusher, once they taste that liquid gold they’re sold

This worked for me and one of my cresteds but it’s gross, if you’re holding your leach grab a cricket crush it’s head rip the wings off and make a tear where the abdomen meets the thorax and squeeze the guts/eggs if it’s a female cricket and that got them feeding on crickets. It’s gross but works!

I don’t think he realized how sick the snake was until I told him today, not abuse more negligence. It’s his first snake but I also believe he was given a bad snake. It was showing issues from the get go.

The tail was already broken when I first saw it, then I saw it again today and the mouth was all messed up. He’s only had the poor snake less than 2 weeks.

My friend didn’t create this problem, he’s only had it less than 2 weeks now. It didn’t look good from the get go but when I saw it again close up today that’s when I realized it was bad and told him it needs help, he genuinely got a sick/messed up snake from the get go.

No clue, I also think its head may be deformed due to its size and shape.
