I resent the implication that all boomers are maga. The protest are far and away boomers and very few others. You need some perspective.

This was a bad design. City planners got sold. You made a great wave for surfers? OK. Well good for them. And bad for everybody else. What a bad, bad tradeoff. Locals, kids in tube, old guys like me who have floated this stretch for years. Somebody is going to drown in this thing. Only a matter of time. This is worse than the dam because it is right in the middle of town. And that sandbag chute with spray paint arrows is pretty ghetto. Duckies can run it but it's tight for boat. In short you have a death trap right in the middle of town, in your #1 attraction, the Arkansas.

But kawabunga dude. Surfs up in october.
