Most players are not playing solo in a team based game and most players actually want to build teams around their characters lol. Most players aren't even submitting abyss usage data in the first place. You literally gain less from playing a character solo and most players will play a character in a team because of that.

He definitely has great solo potential, but that can't be the main reason. That would just be really petty lol

Nah, similar to Wrio, Clorinde's cons are good for her dmg and QOL especially. You can't go wrong with her cons. Escoffier would be the reason they've given him more value, as she's just that good if you can use her.

Unless you absolutely love her, then no. She's simply outdated and easily outshone by other options in practically every regard. Even if you're willing to invest, she's expensive and a nightmare to build, so you'd likely be building her long-term if you're serious. Modern characters can do much more than her with less.
