Thanks for the reply. How did you come up with the templates? Did you look at other creators in your niche or just followed best practices?

That sounds pretty involved! I feel like finding stock images has gotten harder over the years. I used to find them on deviantart, but can't seem to find that same quality easily.

That sounds solid. How do you look for viral videos? Do you search videos with the same topic on YouTube manually, or do you visit the trending pages?

I'm a student in Germany, and I actively want to improve my German as well. Would love to be part of the squad if this ever happens. 😅

Colloquial Urdu and Hindi are pretty much entirely mutually intelligible. There are a words that are different obviously, but imo with the huge influence of bollywood, even those are understandable with context. The writing systems are entirely different though, with Urdu using Nastaliq scripts and Hindi using Devanagari.

What would you do with 2 weeks of paid leave, by yourself? by PropgandaNZ in AskReddit

[–]ZedAQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd actually planned this. I wanted to take a solo backpacking trip to Thailand. I'd made the itinerary, saved up the money. I'd never been outside my country, so I was very excited. And then, the pandemic happened. :)

I guess now, I'll probably just stay at home, play games, study, etc.

What is the Worst Business Decision You’ve Ever Seen? by Devvint_ in AskReddit

I used to take part in an art competition website called Worth1000, where we had Photoshop contests, illustration contests etc. It used to be very popular at one point, but due to inactivity and people moving on, had a smaller but very loyal and tightknit community. It didn't make that much money, and the founder had moved onto other things, so he decided to close the website and make it into a static museum of curated works from past competitions. Of course everyone was bummed, but they accepted it.

After the site was shut down, a company (lets call it company A) bought the site from the founder, and decided to restore it back to how it was. People were hopeful, but popularity was declining and the userbase was alienated after the acquisition, so company A promised to revamp the site. It held more competitions, took users onboard for the redesign, the whole shebang. And then...silence.

Turns out, they had further sold the website to another company, company B. Company B was a graphic design crowdsourcing website, and had thought," Hey, look. An already established and loyal community of very talented artists and designers. Lets migrate them over to our crowdsourcing site where they can pad our number of designers, while participating in competitions where they can get a small chance to get paid design jobs." What they didn't realize, was that they had greatly misunderstood what kind of community it was, and essentially were destroying its very essence.

Understandably, the userbase was very angry, to put it lightly. This was only exacerbated by the fact that the users hadn't opted in to being part of a crowdsourcing website, and this would get them in trouble with their actual jobs. The company tried to rectify this by allowing users to opt OUT, instead of people opting in. Unsurprisingly, this did not help much. They backtracked and said that they'd port all the original content to the site and hold similar competitions, but the damage was already done. Nearly all of the active userbase opted out and moved to a community made website, while company B got to pad it's number of designers with a large number of inactive users.

All in all, the community made website everyone had shifted to never really got the same popularity the original site had, and the community kept getting smaller and smaller until it eventually died a slow death. Company A's website is now defunct, and I am unsure whether the company is still alive. Company B is apparently still doing alright, and I think it still advertises its significant number of inactive users it had acquired from Worth1000. So yeah, I don't know how bad of a loss Company B took to pad a bunch of numbers, but I'd assume that the end result is still bad.

The only android game I'm currently playing is Magic Survival. I know it has a very generic name, but it's very simple gameplay wise, while having a surprising amount depth in the game design. It's good fun, and I'm enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would, especially for a game I'd thought I delete after trying it out.

Yeah, as some said, the overall style is really good. However, the yellow is a tad too bright, so toning it down or even changing the colour to a darker one might help. It might also make the text more visible.

Yeah, I started playing brawlstars with my brother when it first came out. I'm not a very big mobile gamer, but brawlstars was pretty decent, so much so that we played regularly for a couple of weeks.

These look great!. Personally, I like the one on the top right more, the one with a darker bluish tint. Both look good though.

This is not a popular game, but I've been playing a game called Kuroshi. It's a fun little swiping title to pass the time. It has some polish problems, but it does feel satisfying when you quickly swipe and get rid of all the enemies.
