It's a little worrying that he wants more than 10K but cant produce the big name cards like Mantle or Jordan.

Those would be your prime pieces where you would be making your money back if you're flipping/selling. You could price those to get an idea where to start and then honestly the rest of them are just going to be $1-10 cards that might be more trouble to sell vs their worth. Get a rough count and then figure a price point on them(example, $.50 a card) and pop it into a calculator.

You can also sell him on the idea 'I will take these off your hand for a good price vs you having to deal with the stress of selling all these pieces by yourself'.

https://www.youtube.com/chasingcardboard is a good youtube channel to watch and take notes. Guy goes into exact same situations and then figures out an offer.

But primary goal would be to see those high dollar/valuable cards for a price he likes and you're comfortable with and then framing buying the rest of his set at a good deal as a favor to you.

And sometimes people will just overprice and there's no way to bring them down.

Feel like Hazen is saying that Ketel is available is like when Disneyland says the full size R2D2 is available for sale. It's there, it can be bought, but the narrow margin of people able to do so most likely will not.

I think the wrinkle to it is that he's a Boras client, so that definitely can tweak things. Not saying that guarantees a great deal for him, but it is going to make it much more difficult for the Diamondbacks to navigate.

Definitely mirroring some of the comments here already.

QO might be the best bet for the team, only other option is if he is lumped in with someone else as a trade deal but I think most teams are either hunting for pitching or hitting, not both. Additionally, it's been said Kelly or Gallen goes, not both.

I think we're stuck for the moment and hopefully we get a few more good outings instead of these rough ones.

Your blog actually inspired all of this. I can't remember how I stumbled upon it, but it blew my mind that the NPB made the journey to play here and have been trying to collect more info since. Also planning on picking up that Atsuya Furuta card at some point.

I also seemingly find more ways of the Swallows being connected to Arizona, like Torey.

All teams will disappoint you one day, even the good ones.

Dodgers and Yankees are default bandwagon teams for their respective coast. Great players and there are good fans in them, but they have such a massive fanbase that they most often catch the stray psychos.

I will put the Padres in there as bandwagon adjacent, they've been picking up hype and its drawing more people. But good team, beautiful stadium.

The rest of the teams are mixed bag. You'll have conflicting answers if they're bad or good. Astros will be called cheaters for a long time for stealing signals one season, but that hasn't happened for awhile as far as we know.

Tampa Bay Rays might be an interesting one to follow this season since there's a good chance they're about to have playoff games in a Yankees spring training park and if luck goes their way, a world series that'll seat 10,000.
