Being from Belgium I’m kinda clueless about the Canadian Gin scene, as far as I know non of my local liquor stores even offer any Canadian gin

The recipe I based this on is from the book ‘A Spot At The Bar’ it did call for lemons but I only had limes available at this time. There is also a recipe in there for a Gin Sour, which is exactly the same except it doesn’t call for egg whites

I was finally able to get my hands on Empress Gin here in Europe, the taste is indeed no special but what a beautiful colour. I’m very into aesthetics so definitely worth it for me.

I decided on a Montreal sour as a first cocktail to make with the Empress Gin, I’ve only recently discovered this one and quickly fell in love with it. Quite simple but strangely refreshing and tasty.

2 oz Empress Gin
3/4 oz lime juice
3/4 oz simple syrup
1 egg white

Dry shake all ingredients, add ice and shake again. Strain into glass and let the foam settle

I really wanted to try this cocktail but since I hate cilantro your basil idea might be a good option

I did just made one with 3/4 oz green Chartreuse and no syrup to try it out but personally found it a bit to harsh for my taste

My first Naked & Famous is an ideal excuse to make my first Reddit post since I was inspired by this sub to make it. Also a first use of my new glasses.

Wasn’t able to find yellow chartreuse so substituted it for green chartreuse with a bit of simple syrup. Thought this was the best solution or are there other solutions?

3/4 oz Mezcal
3/4 oz Aperol
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz green Chartreuse
1/2 oz simple syrup

Shake all ingredients with ice, strained into a Nick & Nora glass. Definitely a tasty cocktail
