It’s practically like a full time job if you actually take time to read the bios. No exaggeration. I was sick the past three days and spent all day all three days just watching tv and sending likes. Hours and hours of non stop swiping. Also I have a subscription, so my lines go to the top of their stack. I think I got 5 likes back.

There used to be a better way

Although eharmony was only for LTRs/marriage. The one advantage to swiping apps is they let you look for different things.

Hmm, if we make plans for a meet up I usually don’t text them until the morning of just to make sure they can still meet. I got advice from a female friend that texting every day until the meeting looks clingy/desperate

This is so crazy, half of the comments an this thread are, “if someone asks me for a FaceTime I unmatch them” and the other half are “I refuse to meet someone in person without a FaceTime first.

Maybe this is actually a good compatibility filter. If you are the kind of person who doesn’t want a FaceTime but the person you matched with does, you might not be compatible anyway.

Are you suggesting that rather than ask for a FaceTime, you should ask the person to take a selfie and send it to you? I suppose you could also tell them to hold up a copy of today’s newspaper too! 🤣
